Did he want to shoot with the outside (fairly hard in that situation, it's easy to shoot like that but not to hit a certain target) of his boot while using inside foot technique? Or did he fluke it?

I did yell Rafaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa though. I actually yelled it everytime he got a close-up. My family thinks I'm nuts but it is fun. I will do the same for Messi tomorrow.

even though I really wanted south africa to win (was very impressed with them, esp. shabalala) I was pleased for el mariachi.

even though i'm partially cheering for south africa in this WC, i was really glad for rafa to score.

good going old man. still hope SA progress out of the group. along with mexico. fuck france.

It's not a disgrace, he doesn't deserve it. In his long NT trajectory he's not a leader in the field.... He hasn't been there when the team needs him.

The class and experience is there though of course.
