20 years? Liverpool have been the standard only since 2016/2017.

Before that we were terribly run.

We were such a mess that it took 2 to 3 years to just sort out the previous mistakes within the club.

And within that period we had to compete with Pep with unlimited resources backed by a state funded ownership group.

Winning the Prem is much tougher than winning the Liga. Terrible comparison.

Klopp's Liverpool would walk the La Liga numerous times with ease. We got 97 points and still came second in the Prem lol.

Even Barca's main rival in that period was much more of a cup team than a league team.

So 2 league titles 1 CL.

Massive success, about the same as atletico madrid.

Who had way less resources, who were competing with the two biggest clubs in the world and madrid with unlimited Spain state resources.

What Liverpool did while a solid job, really isn't that impressive, it just looks good because they were such losers before.

In 6/7 years. First 2 years were needed to just fix the issues caused by the previous mismanagement.

So you're counting CL finals for ATM but not for Liverpool.

Klopp reached 3 CL finals with Liverpool.

Lost the Prem by 1 point twice.

Real Madrid are nowhere near Pep's City as a league team. They are a cup team.

Even Xavi came in and won LL comfortably. You think Xavi can ever win a Prem against Pep and Klopp?

Winning the Prem is much much harder than winning a Liga. There's levels to this.

All I'm hearing is excuses for the fact that all of this talk about Liverpool's great management, it didn't result it much on the field.

What atletico has done has been vastly more impressive.

Competing with the two biggest teams in the world, winning league titles, and making it to CL finals, with way less resources than Liverpool.

Its the typical Liverpool fan behavior who wants to tell us that their is honor in finishing 2nd, no there isn't.

Atletico have been more impressive over the same period of time, and that's a fact.

You're the one counting CL finals for ATM.....

Prem is a far superior league. Even Laporta and Perez know that which is why they were pushing so hard for the Super League. Admit it.

Pep's City are a much much stronger league team than the Real Madrid of this era. Beating Pep's City in the league is a ridiculously big challenge.

Yea I am, it's atletico madrid them coming from where they are to a CL final is impressive.

If you want to say Liverpool made 3. Okay.

Doesn't change the fact that atletico madrid were starting from a much lower point, with significantly less resources and have matched or exceeded what Liverpool have been able to accomplish.

Oh the EPL is much more difficult so that's a valid excuses for klopp only winning 1 league title 😂 😂.

Atletico madrid winning titles in Spain is every bit as impressive no scratch that even more impressive than what Liverpool did.

Tired of a few talking about Liverpool has if they are this juggernaut that have been winning consistently these last few years.

When all they really are, is just the most famous losers of the last few years.

Victor Font: "Laporta has committed many mistakes, the most important of which is allowing Lionel Messi to leave the club."

"Faced with the crossroads between Messi or Florentino, Laporta chose Florentino..."

Imagine being desperate enough to play this card.

We deserve better people running for election

Fair. But if we win another CL before you then we need to have a conversation about the 2nd biggest club itw.

It'd be between Barca, Bayern and Liverpool.

Right now I have Bayern and Barca ahead of Liverpool but it's very close.
Liverpool could be in conversation for 2nd most successful club with another CL but I don't think they would move up from 5th in biggest clubs

Biggest clubs

1. Madrid
2. United
3. Barca
4. Bayern
5. Liverpool

Most Successful Clubs

1. Madrid.
2. Bayern
3. Barca
4. Liverpool
5. Milan (their domestic title record is poor)
