How much is EZE going for?

Diaz reported money? Similarly a dribbler from the left, can fill in across the front line. Better age and will be easy to sell on in the future to an EPL cunt (respectfully).

-Zuriko Davitashvili
-Luiz Henrique (spoke about him before)
-Cherki (less traditional for the left though)

This Diaz or bust talk coming from Catalan media lacks imagination. Alot of options out there.

Unfair on Don Flick. It's a bit of a leap to make that an attacking manager doesn't prioritise world class defensive players.

Well, if he prioritizes defensive players, we'll sign defenders before attackers. Top CB + solid squad fullback would convince me he is focusing on fixing the issues that cost us in CL this season.

Eze is a bit older himself that I'd like. Not much difference between 27 and 29. I'd prefer we move for a younger player like you said (Fofana, or another) who could take over the LW from Raphinha in 2-3 seasons.

Think we should bite the bullet and don't stick 2 mature players on our LW in Raphinha and some other similarly aged player. Go for a young gun even if it's riskier for short term. I am very satisfied with our attack looked under Flick with current personnel. We're focusing on the wrong area for me.

But then, I remain partial to my own idea. This is not the summer to spend big for depth in attack. It's a luxury when there's bigger things to fix in the team. Sign a cheap option since upgrading Fati is piss easy, and focus on defense. Raphinha has 2-3 top seasons ahead of him, plenty of time to look for talents for LW and make an informed inspired signing by 2027-28 there.

Done deal with Inter.

I would really take a risk with Malick Fofana. That said I understand a logic behind signing a more proven player considering we already have a bunch of kids in the first team and some more likely making a breakthrough in coming years. But 70m+ for a 28 yo rotational player is just wrong on many levels and even more so considering current financial situation.

Signing an expensive forward and then sticking with the CB solutions we have, not one who is reliable, and starting the season with no good back-ups for either fullback position, plus keeping Stegen as main option for the GK position... that's a nightmare for our hopes of improving our backline.

Fecking Dortmund toyed with that backline in Germany.

That's on Flick, he likes Martin and Garcia there.

Starting level CB, solid fullback squad player who could cover both wings ideally, goalkeeper. Do all 3 first and you can sign Diaz for all I care. Sign Diaz and neglect the defense, and we'll continue to receive buckets of goals in CL.

PSG's back 4 + keeper walk into our team. In midfield and attack it is close. But in defense, there's a big difference between the teams. And PSG not only have a better team, but also a more defensively conscious manager.

But even with Flick's more risky tactics, the difference in personnel in defense is so serious, that Flick could defend better with PSG's players than Lucho could with ours.

PSG back 4 walks into our team, bro says exactly 0 of that 1 day before the CL final 😂.

I don't put much value on what Flick likes regarding the defense. Defense is obviously not his thing. Also questionable if his defense improves in time. Bayern's got worse in his 2nd season, not better. Surely if his tactics are reliable in defense, Bayern's defending would have gotten better in time, not worse.

He should and does have a big say, but doesn't mean the board should not overrule him if they see fit. He needs better defenders even if he doesn't want them.

We are not paying 70m+ for Díaz. Thats just not happening.

They want Diaz/Rashford because they want more of a LF than LW

It's clearly a wink at if lewa doesn't perform or gets injured, we aren't reliant only on Torres to play # 9.

The profile makes perfect sense, the age profile and price not so much.

PS olmo was a good signing in retrospect, even though I wanted a DM more, but that worked out perfectly, club knew we were 3 deep in that position.

Williams would have been better, but that didn't work out .

In Euro 2024 Spain won the championship with

Laporte - Saudi
Le Normand - R.S

PSG won the CL

Pacho (whooo?)
Marquinhos mid to solid defender his entire career.

Those 4 conceded a grand total of 1 goal in the final.

Bring that boy Niccccoooooo Williams home, Diaz can stay in Liverpool.

15m from the Chocolate league last summer.

I know we were in for Jorthy Morko (who is now a full international for Belgium), but Belgian league is one we should look at more for squad positons. Alot of talent that shoots up in value quickly after a sale.
