Can someone explain to me why are we so interested in guy? What will he add to this team for 80 mil??? I am not following Lpool so closely but every time I watched him play he was meh.

He's the right profile for a rotation option who can step in, but underwelming in that he is close to 30, will be expensive and in a season or two leaves us having to replace Lewy, Diaz and Raphinha.

Just a bad fit for those reasons and should be avoided. One of the perils of the short termism approach this club can have with the instability of elections.

One of the reasons summer of 22/23 went so well was because apart from Lewy, we went for the right profiles in the right age space. Raphi (25), Kounde (23), Kessie FREE (25), Christensen FREE (26).

Everyone with the right level of experience and age proposition value. If we are too scared to go for a future potential option like Malick Fofana, then we should atleast be targetting those profiles again.

Club said they want more experience because the team is young.

Only way this makes even a bit of sense, and I rate Diaz.

But we'll be looking to replace both him and raph soon instead of having a smooth transition.

We can't afford him, thus he'll go to the Saudi league.

He has the same agent as Bruno apparently who Al Hilal are also trying to sign (saw rumours they want 3 big names + Inzaghi as manager before CWC)

Pass at the price Liverpool have valued him at. 40+10 in variables is a go. You do not pay anything close to 80m for a player at 28-29 unless that player is a superstar. Diaz is not a superstar.

My reactions to our rumoured transfer targets since Deco has come in.

2 percent of the time. ........"That would be a good signing, I hope we can conclude this transfer. ( Basically only Joan Garcia ). "

18 percent of the time ....... "This has got to be a joke. This transfer doesn't even make any sense. "

80 percent of the time ........ "Please for the love of God no. Is Deco using Bartomeu's autobiography as his own personal Bible? "

Luis Díaz has started trying to get a move away from Anfield. He is ignoring a move to Saudi Arabia, and doesn't want to listen to Liverpool's renewal proposal either. @ffpolo

Honestly wouldn't pay more than 35m for him, at best 35+10. Not sure if Liverpool would sell for that but if not, he can go to Saudi.

I agree, I don't know what the club is thinking on this one, as it relates to age and Price.

Williams is literally the perfect signing.

0 down side to signing him, assuming he's willing to come.

If not someone else or a loan.

He's the move. And he could make the jump to 9 ala Dembele.

If we were to get a bit more exotic there is Igor Paixao of Feyernoord. I watched him a fair bit at Curitibia and he was top. Seems to have made the jump to Europe seamlessly, but don't know if he has it to move next level. That's the SD job.

I was wrong on Sinisterra so don't take my word on him though
