I think Aston Villa move will be the most logical to him
The biggest shitbomb in this is the fact MATS wears the captain armband. The initial idea of signing Tek was to cover for Pena, as MATS was done for the season. Nobody expected Wojcech to turn out this good and the consequence - I expect Pena to leave the club.Don't think MATS/Tek are an obstacle he can't overcome. Starting spot would be his before christmas if he keeps up this seasons performances and learns how to sweep.
Whatever the motivation to join Barca, Tek is hardly retiring after such strong season.Tek was signed to be a starter here, there is no way he was signed to be cover.
One of the reasons he retired, by his own admission, was because he didn't want to be backup GK or go to lower league like Saudi. Barca was an opportunity of a sure starting spot in a big club.
Inaki will leave because he now sees how the club really rates him.
Now, Tek has a decision to maje, because he probably loves it here and it seems his family is adapting well.
However, he will likely lose his starting spot, and back to the exact position that made him retire.
His decision will be important in our transfer plans, because we will absolutely go for a GK if he retires, there is no other option unless we are actually idiots.
He stays, no one is joining, resources go to other positions.
He could also decide to retire on a high. Money is obviously not the only driver in his case.Whatever the motivation to join Barca, Tek is hardly retiring after such strong season.
OJOO
He has a €25million (£21m / $27m) release clause in his contract and that drops to just €15million (£12.6m / $16m) if Espanyol get relegated.
