Javier Pastore

Javier Matías Pastore (born 20 June 1989) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Italian Serie A club Palermo.

I have watched him quite a lot this season playing for Palermo and what has impressed me is his calmness on the ball for his age, really skilful player and has presence in midfield because of height(6 ft 2)

He was selected for the world cup squad of Argentina, and has appeared twice as a subsistute, coming in the 77th minute against Greece and 87th minute against Mexico

Pastore is a very nice player, I love watching him. But he's not Barcelona quality, at least not yet. Ozil is more proven IMO

in the few occasions i have seen him play i have been impressed with his forward thinking and his link up with messi. I like the way he reads messi so well off the ball and at I feel messi is also confident that he will find him with the ball when they are linking especially when he drifts in from the right, he is a prospect, he has undoubted qualities, he has no fear, very cool, calm and collective.

Palermo president said he rejected a Real Madrid bid of 25 million to sign Pastore.

Very elegant player. I'm not sure how well he would adapt to Barcelona pressing, but perhaps he can learn to recycle possession.
