Don't start celebrating too quickly, it could all flip again in a week.

All very close at the top.

We could be even looking at Villarreal at number 1, if the right result happen

We need the key players to make the difference in the harder games. Pedri, Raphinha, Yamal, Lewandowski. We can build a run in this league even while not playing great if the players show up.

Just because we aren't at the level compared to the best sides in Europe doesn't mean we can't beat likes of Betis and Villareal.

We do that and Madrid can crumble like they did last season. AM match is very important. We lose it and we're in big trouble. We win it, and we can turn the page and build a gap.

Can all swing so easily this week.

Win and Real drop points and it looks rosy.

Drop points and Real win they are top having played 9 of first 15 games away from home and been to Ateti, Athletic etc.

Flick on what went down during this moment with Rapha:

"It's a curious scene from this game. I was disappointed because we lost possession so often, two members of the staff on the bench received red cards… when we scored the third goal, Marcus saw red, and I had spoken to him – he's my friend, the most important person here – and that conversation kept going through my mind. I wanted to clear my head; I didn't want to argue."

"I'm doing well, and I'm ready for anything the club asks of me. I'm very happy to be here. In a game like this, things can go wrong. These kinds of games are tough; you invest a lot of energy. But then I get home and relax. I wasn't sad, and I didn't think about anything else. We're not as strong as last year yet, but we have potential and we're working on raising our level."

So he was more frustrated about the argument with Sorg and the red cards.

There is absolutely no way he was that upset or being consoled due to coaches being red carded.

Cover story as doesnt want to go into it with the media.

To me it's clear - Flick was upset, because the team is not playing well lately. If you remember the final 10 minutes of the Alaves game you'll get it. The disappointment has been accumulating all week. Against Chelsea we were helpless.

Has nothing to do with the sent off coaches. I need to rewatch Araujo's red card, but IIRC Hansi looked angry and wasn't expecting Ronald's handshake or whatever it was walking into the tunnel.

Yikes he threw Garcia under the bus

Q- After coaching Joan Garcia, what's the thing you're surprised most about him? And is he one of the best you've ever coached?

🚨🎙️| Flick: "This isn't an easy question, because I was the coach for both Neuer and Marc. Both of them are great keepers.

Yeah that is what it will be and he was probably absolutely raging at the game not being put to bed in second half and then Alaves going close to scoring a few times at end.

There was never much meaningful control of game.

First half was a chaotic shit show.

Second half for first half hour was better but cant remember too many good chances then at end of half when Alaves pressed it was panic stations and no control whatsoever.

There is a definite nervousness in the team at moment.

Flick is like "all I'm asking is for you guys to be perfect all the time, so we don't concede, is it that hard". Lol.

If other coaches had ever gotten so emo on the bench, OMG lol
