I will be concerned about Flick only if all the players return, we are at full strength and team still plays like shit

Raphinha, Lewandowski, Olmo. 3 starters in attack, all out. (ok you can argue about Lewa, maybe Ferran would start either way, but he would still help immensely off the bench). Then in midfield Gavi, a very important player who if not start would help a lot off the bench. Christensen probably the best CB. Joan one of our best players. This is a very very tough situation. On top of that away stadium and a super motivated Madrid, yet we still were close to a draw and controlled possesion for good part of the game

Before the game we knew draw here is like a win. We lost, not by a big margin which is good, we fought well and were close. It's not end of the world, it's October we can come back very soon

We should judge at the end of the season. But if we drop 7-9 points behind Madrid, small chance we recover this time around.

A fully fit team out the league title race and all in on CL and rotating for it is not worst scenario if comes to it.

Just need to see progression as season goes on.. whatever that looks like.

I think we will inevitably start playing better. Maybe in 2nd half of the season. Supercup, the guys will want revenge

We are only getting worse. Starters or no starters cause they have already figured us out.
Like INTER last season.
We are getting dog walked by SEVILLA and GIRONA and soon other relgation fighting teams.

We need a PLAN B

Hang about long enough to hope the excitement and peace of mind that comes from the Stadium plays an advantage.. with a fit team of course.

Not true brother. Since PSG game more or less we are shit and the level has been pretty consistent, even though we managed to win some games. We are not getting worse we are just shit. And we need to see if we remain shit forever, I don't think so

As for plan B... knowing when to stick to your plan is also part of being a good coach. Not panicking and trying to mimic others when things don't go well

Flick can do better, but it's not like he's operating in ideal circumstances. Team played really well last season. Then a lot of other teams made investments including Real Madrid. Now investments don't always equal to better performances(see Liverpool so far), but the squad depth RM have is light years ahead of ours.

We lost our best CB who was good, but not spectacular. We signed a GK who was upgrade, but didn't play tonight and, Rashford on loan and Roony.

And everyone knew that we needed a LB/RB, #9 and arguably a CB as well. Almost everyone in this forum agreed on that, but finances wouldn't allow it. I believe I said it a week ago. There's only so much you can extract from your academy and what you already have in the squad. At some point you need to make some big investments at key positions when you need it, and we needed it and couldn't do it.

Although the season is long. We were in a worse situation last winter. We'll see what happens.
