This is just like 2023-24 again, the players became overconfident, arrogant and self absorbed. Once they win the league, they think everything is handed to them and they get demolished by everyone.

Can't really point to anyone who has been very good this season.

Maybe rashford & pedri that's it.

20+ players can't become poor over he course of a summer, something is off

Frenkie has been good.

Many games like today been better than Pedri... btu Pedri is flavour of month to point others get blamed when he is poor.

Pedri and Rash about the other two.

The only thing I blame Flick, as well as the fitness staff is the physical state of the team. It's embarrassing and inexcusable, to be at the limit 2 months into the season with half the team either injured or with muscle overload. Especially after having the longest pre-season out of all European teams. This can't be. Something went wrong during the summer and this needs to be addressed internally.
Instead of having the advantage of the pre-season, we're at a disadvantage.

Obviously you can't fix something like this over night, it's a process that'll take time. That must be Flicks first and only priority. Not one single tactic will help, if the team is in the current form.

Real didnt look fitter today late on and Barca have had a number of late comebacks.

Bit harsh that.

We're running way less than last season (I've read 4km on average each game), the pressing which was Flick's strength last season is nearly completely missing. Add to this 7 injured players recently and muscle overload. It's pretty clear that the physical state of the team is bad right now, late comebacks or not.

Marcus Sorg on the 1–2 defeat:

“Real made better use of our mistakes than we did of theirs. In the final third, we ultimately lacked the cutting edge to create more chances. We tried everything — in the end, we even played with only two defenders. We wanted to create more opportunities, but we also knew that Real are always very good on the counter. We didn’t create enough to score a second goal.”

… on the rather weak performance of Lamine Yamal this time:
“It wasn’t easy for Lamine. We talked at halftime about needing to put things into action, but we didn’t manage to create many situations like that in the second half either. Real defended well — we have to accept that. We tried everything, but sometimes the defenders just do a good job. We have to accept that. Lamine is coming back from an injury break; he needs more games. That’s normal — he’s only 18. We’ll give him time and support him.”

… on the scuffle at the end:
“To be honest, I didn’t really realize what was going on. There were a lot of people between the benches shouting. We have to stay focused on the game.”

Loss today was du to lack of quality.

Our back four and front four simply not that good, and very limited in what they can do.
Likes of Ferran, will never be a WC striker, and is at his best a decent goalscorer who can take advantage of some of the opportunities created for him. Fermin and Rash didn't impact game enough aside from the goal, and our defenders simply just aren't that good.

Ferran has been decent v Real in past to be fair.

But there seems to be a bad mix in front four at moment.

Less workrate and they are all or nothing too much and give ball away cheaply far too often.
