Between him and Lucho we will judge at end of Flick's tenure

If Flick wins a CL trophy, there is absolutely zero doubt he is the best since Pep. Because under the circumstances very few would win it

It's a bit harsh to expect Flick to win a CL trophy. Lucho had MSN and still had some early exits in the CL despite having a waaay better squad. With the CL you need decisive players, whether that's attack or defence. This defence are laughable, bordering on trash. Every game there are huge mistakes.

Maybe harsh but not unrealistic. We are one of the top sides in Europe at the moment. And I don't think there's a single team that we would stand like no chance against

Even at our worst vs PSG we played a game that could very much go either way

So with a little bit of luck, who knows

We are top 6 at best.
Best we can hope for is a draw like last year's, and beat psg or whoever in a final

Still coming back to this quote. Might prove to be historical if this season actually leads to something good. The balls to say this and then actually deliver 10 wins in a row with an entirely different Barça indeed is incredible

Why are Laporta and Deco not going out of their way to get him what he needs?
They were happy to pull levers for Xavi but Flick has been given nothing to work with. We could have worked out a loan move for a decent cb but the club went for Cancelo. A coach can only do so much. Anyone expecting a cl is in for a rude awakening.
Rageabait?

Levers are finite resource you can’t just pull more out of your ass lol

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that we are 200m of investment in the team ( not a lot of money in today's football world at all ) from winning the UCL, maybe more than once, under this manager.
I only disagree with you regarding the money.
Flick doesn't need 200m to be a UCL contender.

This summer is a perfect opportunity to get Free Agents. There are plenty that are good.
Give Flick a free agent CB like Senesi, a free agent Fullback for backup, and Shlotterbeck.
And see us dominating Europe, we will at least play Semi finals every year till Flick leaves.

Truth
This supercup format is good for something at least.
I think it has been much better than I had expected

When it was a home & away two legged trophy, it was fairly uninteresting and had no real energy. Transforming it into a 4 team mini competition with a huge payday while being featured as a much bigger event than previous - what’s not to like?

Me personally, I thought the pitch looked and played poorly in a lot of stretches but its a nice stadium and impressive support. Wonder if it will become a rotating venue, go to Morocco for 2/3 years and then move to another country - not a bad idea really
