Wrong again.
Last season we played donkey football thanks to FLICK and chocked the semis.
This season FLICK cant be blamed that much, hes shown hes willing to change. The defenders are shambolic.

And if there is anyone who is result biased, it is you. Because the bad spell at start of this season was mostly because we missed a great deal of players and lost a couple games because of it

And shit pressing was because we missed the frontmen of our pressing and team morale was in absolute trenches

Not because Flick drastically changed the approach. Or that we for some reason stopped doing anything we were doing last season

It is very clear what you are. A flick doubter who is not ready to accept he has been wrong and hence tries to spin with some unclear and vague "conclusions" about the team. Hence the silent "I rate flick but...". No brother you don't. And say it out loud, we won't eat you

Last season we did not face any challenges. It's why we were "better". If a better team came in place of Bayern at Montjuic we would be smashed. This season we faced PSG, Chelsea and a much stronger Madrid and of course it was different results. But now we have improved too

I first gave my critique in the Newcastle win? A game where our best pressers all started. The only person who was missing in that game from the front was Lamine, who has never been an excellent presser. He was replaced by Rashford who at the start of the season was pressing well if I remember correctly. The only other player who was injured that could EVER improve our intensity in the press is Gavi and he isn't even a starter for us anyways. That is number one.

Number 2 is, despite your personnel, your pressing structure should still be of a certain standard. Notice I said structure and not quality. I had problems with the structure. We were so culpible to switches it was actually insane and don't get me started on how easy it was to bypass the middle because of the switches. I WANT YOU TO SHOW ME WHERE I AM WRONG. Flick doesn't have to drastically change an approach which worked last season, that doens't make sense, he needs to either adjust to the changes of the squad and change the system or reinstate the things that made the system work. I can tell you problems I have with Flick right now since you accused me of being vague: Inconsistent press that is easily bypassed too often. Predictable defensive weakness, even counting the individual ability of our defenders, just by reading the words of Inigo and Gerad Martin of the stress placed on them by the system, I began to realize the pressure they were placed under put them in a lot of unfortunate situations. Even for Joan, it is not normal for your keeper to have to save 1V1 every game. These things matter, ESPECIALLY in games where we can afford to let the opponent get an inch. Thirdly, the platforming of Lamine and Pedri. This is something I've thought about lowkey in my mind because you shouldn't tailor a squad to suit one individual player, but when I watch how Olise is platformed by Kompany alarm bells cant help but go off. Pedri in particular suffers immensly in that double pivot and showing up in Europe with those 2 guarding your already weak defense screams disaster. Which is why Eric was introduced. A change I can applaud.

I am not a flick doubter, I am a boy who's spent alot of time learning about the game and watching how good teams operate. I agree last season we didn't face the hardest opponents, I truly believe we should have at least gotten to the CL final, especially considering how we played. Now I want you to tell me where I was wrong, tell me why I can't rate a coach but recognize the flaws in how he operates, explain to me why that is such a contradiction. You suggest that I'm a flick doubter because you like Flick, you believe any critique of him is a critique of you so you take it personally. I tried to see your side really hard, trust me I did, but you clearly don't get nuance. If you can show me tactic wise that I was wrong I'll cede, but for now your arguments seem really shallow and I don't really know if this makes any difference.

Can't slip up now. Two important games coming up. Santander and Sociedad away. Keep the wins coming. Pretty confident 2 wins in CL gets us top 8 also.

I agree. Lucho got a bit overrated based on that season. Football fans too romantic and selective in memory. Had diabolical transfer policy and tactically managed Spain poorly. But has developed himself as coach over the years. Fan favourite and do wish him all the success.
