In general we are not good vs Rayo away(posted past four games here). Check these stats from the previous visits; last season being the best actually.

You can see the date higher in the middle.
Last season was our best by far, xG wise.

In general, we are poop vs Rayo away. Very tough matches usually.

The big worry is we actually had a full pre season with first team availability this summer.

Last summer we didn't while our rivals had CWC and are above us.

Next summer we will go and get that World Class centre and more than likely shit the bed in choosing it.

Maybe we will kick into gear once we find ourselves in an underdog position like last season. Not the worst thing in the world to have to come from behind again. I don't think we are good enough to take charge of the league from start to finish. Even less so in CL. I hope everyone at the club will understand how central the hard work we put in last season was to our performances.

Worst thing in the world to think we are so good that we'll win with less work put in. We really aren't and Rayo dominating us when our intensity was low should be a pretty warning sign early on.

Newcastle play like Rayo but with better players everywhere. If we show up like that we will lose. Lose there and vs PSG and suddenly there's a crisis in CL also. Need to wake up fast.

Think Flick should have a word with both Lamine and Raphinha. Lamine should clean up his game and do his part defensively, and Raphinha needs to stop thinking of himself as individually gifted. He is a high workrate runner, not somebody to contribute much on the ball.

Primadonna attitudes need to be cut before they catch roots and infect the mentality of the squad.

Our attack looks disjointed now. Minimal combinations between players as they all seem to think they can solve duels individually.

Think Madrid are the strong favourites for the league. They have upgraded well. On top ATM just needs to figure out how to play and they should be quite decent.

When we come 6th in spending during the summer, I would not have much hope going into the next season.

Madrid have been favorites all along since covid and the Bartomeu caused mess. Nothing new imo. If I remember well post covid Madrid took out 3 EPL teams in a row, Chelsea, City, and Liverpool. Along with PSG in last 16. To win 2 championships vs a top Madrid, I value this a lot personally for Laporta and everyone involved.

Last year the squad had more to prove and being written off by a lot of folk including their own former manager for most part.

A year on and Raphinha, Pedri and Yamal are talking about winning balondor while Yamal is flying off to Monaco with his pop star girlfriend.

Members of the squad apparently falling out and coming head to head about their instagram model girlfriends.

Things change quickly and can see why Flick is trying his best to keep a lid on it.

Madrid have looked very good in first three games and playing with an energy and pace that is far ahead of Barca in first three.
