If true this is very concerning
First of all, us being the only team in La Liga that played 3 times away is a terrible excuse to just allow the quality of chances we concede to be allowed. You don't go to an away ground knowing that the team will want to win and accept that the frequent and high quality amount of chances we give them is just to be "expected". Nonsense man, have standards. I get conceding one here and there, but we have allowed 12. Secondly, I'm so confused as to why us giving away so many big chances is acceptable and just seen as "just the way it is". That line of thinking is that in this system the only tradeoff for the attacking firepower to be at its best is to be crap at defending. "We attack the best when we neglect any sort of defensive solidity so therefore its justified". I've watched teams over the years have a good attack and a good defence, maybe not at the exact same level but it is obviously possible. Part of this is a squad building issue but you must adapt to your squad. I'm already posting this because it is a concerning trend, regardless of where we play and is something we have seen from last season, but just not as bad. Use your brain and contextualize why a stat as drastic as this would matter for a team like Barcelona for God sake.A statistics that doesn't take into account neither that we're again the only team in LaLiga that played 3 times away, nor that we play a system that naturally gives away big chances, is absolutely useless. We don't win the first game, away at Rayo, one of the toughest teams in LaLiga to beat on their pitch and people already starting to post this kind of shit.
Muppets never change.
This response is incredibly asinine to me but you honestly don't see a problem with a system that "naturally gives away big chances" in a team with ONE good CB (always injured) who can both play highline and box defense? Especially in a team where the highline leader regardless of defending level was sold? In a season where teams have meticulously devised plans to get around our defensive "gotcha!"?A statistics that doesn't take into account neither that we're again the only team in LaLiga that played 3 times away, nor that we play a system that naturally gives away big chances, is absolutely useless. We don't win the first game, away at Rayo, one of the toughest teams in LaLiga to beat on their pitch and people already starting to post this kind of shit.

I'm starting to think the problem isn't even the players but the entire defensive system. Even with Van Dijk + Saliba we'd still suffer. Flick has to change something. This is a complete disaster. We can't just blame Inigo's departure – our defense was absolute crap even last season. These numbers are a real catastrophe.

Yip. This is his system and its a heavy burden on the CBsI could add more but no need, the man system just leaves defendes exposed, accept it & move on, no magical defender will make it better.
All this signifies that our midfield being lethargic.
And honestly our press has been pretty shit since the start of the season. And Flick has been figuring out the backline.
The players need to step up their intensity.

But I would disagree on one thing. I thnk a Inigo like defender, but faster and a bit taller, would easily shave of 3-5 goals from that tally. And then you add Big Joan to it, and he does the same. And we are far better than before. Most of the goals or chances, happen because of our highline, and a faster inigo "solves" that.
Just need that 1-2 crucial saves, that both need to pull of in some important matches and we are playing the finals of UCL.
I think Casado would have been a better option to pair with either of Pedri or Frenkie against Rayo since neither aren't necessarily good in duels. We couldn't match Rayo's intensity in midfield. There were lots of times where Frenkie and Pedri were both caught high up or just too weak leaving the defenders exposed.
