We ain't winning shit this season...

Our team lacks fullbacks, a CB-general and a striker - at least if Kounde could pick up where he left last season, but dude just looks like he's thinking abut something else than football.
Also, we should have sold one of Casado/Fermin - used the money to buy a fullback or striker backup. Ferran won't fucking show up and forget about Lewa, dude is finished and him still having a contract with us is a fucking joke.

So, we'll be lucky if we finish second after Real this season and we ain't advancing to a semifinal in CL again.

The pessimism is INSANE.

Fix the selfishness and the intensity issues and domestic titles can be achieved. CL is early. Depends a lot on the form top teams hit in knockouts, not now. But I do agree that CL is unlikely. The defensive issues are a combined manager and squad deficiencies. Meaning you can not form a class defense with our current squad, but the manager adds to the issues, does nothing to mitigate them. Flick is an extremist idealist. He is many good things, but balanced and pragmatic he is not. However, he overachieved with us so far when looked at the economic situation and squad gaps. Don't like how everyone suddenly demands titles after titles, as if it's so simple to beat Madrid. Yes, we improved squad wise compared to years ago, but other teams don't stand still, they improved as well, even more than us in most cases.

Of course, some here think La Liga is a mediocre league and we just need to worry about Madrid lol.

Hope he can survive a potential failed season. We need to consider and accept that it would not be a disaster if we can't tie two top seasons in a row. It is extremely tough to do so.

The job he is left to do with all the noise these past two windows is ridiculous.

From players signing, to players leaving and knowing where will be playing next season is all a huge distraction for him and team.

I doubt he trusts a single word he gets told from above and it must be wearing.

I would add that pressure at Barcelona gets red hot the moment we hit a shite season. Few managere can keep their cool and an implosion under that amount of stress is something we have seen repeatedly. Burnout is fast here. Like a monster storm at sea. Hard to sail through it and reach calm waters again.

Was known. Part of the added stress of the job. The club does what it can under the circumstances. No point for the manager in getting frustrated about things he can't control.

Iñigo Martínez on opponents figuring out the offside trap at the end of the season.

🗣️: "At the end of last season, we already suffered it, they had measured us better, but if you do it well, it gives you more than it takes away. The back line has to talk a lot, and it came from inside me. The other defenders weren’t much into talking, but I think Pau will start taking more command."

Not surprised by this given how Gung ho and suicidal we play at times. Rayo had loads of space anytime they were on the ball.

This the truth.

Compare our first few games last season to this and you see a big difference. We gave this season all the time and space for their midfield/defense to make that key pass. Last season we were like hounds on our opponents. Giving them zero space to make a pass or so. We need to give the same pressure this season, otherwise this tactic will fall apart BADLY. Any good midfielder in LaLiga can make a great pass to offense, if pressure is not applied. That means usually always 3vs2 or 3vs1 or 2vs1 Vs our defense, meaning terrible situation.

We need our players to be hounds again. Can they do it mentally again? Well, they must, if we want to have any sort of success.

I was furious Vs Rayo when I saw Isi turning freely on the midfield and no pressure applied. Ridiculous. Also felt like they didn't even scout out Isi,I because he created almost everything for them. We didn't even take out their playmaker.

Way better pressure needs to be apply and never let them turn freely, while our defense is in disorder which it is usually. Make a foul if nothing else. We let them way easily get away from our midfield or even defense.

Shit defense and low pressure will lead to some ugly losses, but Flicks game was always based on the aggressive press. It's our best form of defense. The pressure is our defense. Without pressure there's nothing. It all falls apart.

Last season was the best chance to win the CL in a long time.

I don't have the same optimism for this season, but I hope that I'm wrong.

We need to win La Liga at least.

Real will never let us win second in a row, especially after losing all the Clasicos last season. They will rob us if nothing else.

Opponents improved but we didn't. That's a problem too. I don't see any improvements in our tactics, actually just worse defenders. That's not good.

Drop the defensive line a few yards back,
Keep possession more
Move the ball around quickly to create space for a goal.

Win these type of games.

Playing flicks 100% attack made zero sense, because the ball kept hitting a wall and coming right back for us to defend, it's nonsense that someone can't make same simple adjustments to win a game.

1-0 or 2-0 wins don't count.
It has to be 4-3.

But it's rayo everyone also needs to calm the fuck down a bit
