I didn't watch but sounds like 6-1 is immensely flattering with some unfair decisions in Barca's favour (according to posters above).

If that's the case, it's a classic watch the performance not the score game. Just like Girona at the weekend.

He had like two half decent seasons out of 8 or 9 at United. And he's always been a streaky scorer, and the type who's invisible other than in moments.

Even tonight, it didn't sound like he or Barca were doing much before the game was safe.

Works both ways - guys like you are acting like he's been a success in October, with very little of the season played.

Let's wait and see what he does in April against the likes of Man City and PSG.

He's scored against City a few times (for United obviously) and he also gave PSG's backline kittens at Villa Park. He will be absolutely fine.

why were the commentators glazing this as if this wasn't horrid. We will get battered by Madrid if nothing changes and even if we win I don't think it will be convincing. We need to wake up. that PSG game should have been it but bc of the amount of injuries it got ignored.

Let's hope Flick is smarter than to think everything is going swimmingly just because they won by five goals.

Play like they did against Girona in the Clasico and RM will hammer them.
No one said that. Most positive things happened after the red.

I am just saying, if I was a Barca fan, why wouldnt I want to watch my team bag half a dozen in the biggest comp itw?

I watched the highlights of that game (against PSG) - they were laughable, most of the time it was him giving the ball away etc. He had a few good moments and that's it - ask serghei to post the video again and it will prove what I am saying.

You are also overlooking that Man United are a counter-attack team who sit back and counter into space against Man City, what really suits Rashford. That's why he has a much better scoring record in general against top teams than poor teams. Barca won't sit back like United do, and his massive weakness is he's poor in compressed space.

Either way, acting like anyone who doubts him is wrong in OCTOBER (when I don't even think he's been that good) is classic football fan memory of a goldfish and Rashford overrating.

By that I mean that other players have to have a lot of good games, but with Rashford, it seems his fans just discard all the games he's garbage, look at his few good games, and act like that's his true level. No, he's an average player who - in the right conditions - can score good goals from time to time That's all. He has never been anywhere near a title challenge or CL challenge. That will change this season, simply because he's playing in a top team.

I notice you tend to defend every English player. I agree with you on guys like Kane, Palmer and Grealish. I rate all of them. I don't rate Rashford at all though, and make no apologies for that. I think his mediocre career and generally poor performances would prove I am being reasonable not to rate him.

I think come the end of the season we will see what a fraud he is.
