I didn't watch but sounds like 6-1 is immensely flattering with some unfair decisions in Barca's favour (according to posters above).

If that's the case, it's a classic watch the performance not the score game. Just like Girona at the weekend.

He had like two half decent seasons out of 8 or 9 at United. And he's always been a streaky scorer, and the type who's invisible other than in moments.

Even tonight, it didn't sound like he or Barca were doing much before the game was safe.

Works both ways - guys like you are acting like he's been a success in October, with very little of the season played.

Let's wait and see what he does in April against the likes of Man City and PSG.

He's scored against City a few times (for United obviously) and he also gave PSG's backline kittens at Villa Park. He will be absolutely fine.

why were the commentators glazing this as if this wasn't horrid. We will get battered by Madrid if nothing changes and even if we win I don't think it will be convincing. We need to wake up. that PSG game should have been it but bc of the amount of injuries it got ignored.

I watched the highlights of that game (against PSG) - they were laughable, most of the time it was him giving the ball away etc. He had a few good moments and that's it - ask serghei to post the video again and it will prove what I am saying.

You are also overlooking that Man United are a counter-attack team who sit back and counter into space against Man City, what really suits Rashford. That's why he has a much better scoring record in general against top teams than poor teams. Barca won't sit back like United do, and his massive weakness is he's poor in compressed space.

Either way, acting like anyone who doubts him is wrong in OCTOBER (when I don't even think he's been that good) is classic football fan memory of a goldfish and Rashford overrating.

By that I mean that other players have to have a lot of good games, but with Rashford, it seems his fans just discard all the games he's garbage, look at his few good games, and act like that's his true level. No, he's an average player who - in the right conditions - can score good goals from time to time That's all. He has never been anywhere near a title challenge or CL challenge. That will change this season, simply because he's playing in a top team.

I notice you tend to defend every English player. I agree with you on guys like Kane, Palmer and Grealish. I rate all of them. I don't rate Rashford at all though, and make no apologies for that. I think his mediocre career and generally poor performances would prove I am being reasonable not to rate him.

I think come the end of the season we will see what a fraud he is.

No one said that. Most positive things happened after the red.

I am just saying, if I was a Barca fan, why wouldnt I want to watch my team bag half a dozen in the biggest comp itw?
yeah I mean it shows fermins greatness and hopefully he will play more now. but this is Olympiacos, not Madrid. against a good attack and a defence this isn't gonna fly. especially because the ref favored us heavily but that wont happen against madrid.

why apologize for having an opinion?

Call Fati or myself to apologize for our takes, not you.
Just expecting this guy to call me clueless for not rating Rashford, as if he is Pele or above criticism or something.

So pre-empting him by explaining why my stance is reasonable.

I never said people were wrong to doubt Rashford. I said it was moronic for people to write him off after a couple of games, as with any player moving to a different country and a brand new league. There's a big difference between the two.

From what I remember of that game he was a massive threat to PSG. But there's no question that Rashford has been inconsistent. That's why I've always said he's a purple patch player that is either brilliant or crap with little in-between.

I never wrote him off. I am saying that I don't believe he will be good all season, or when it counts. Because I don't rate him as a player.

He wasn't - you can watch the video for proof. He had a few good moments that you remember and it causes you to misremember his entire performance (along with the media hype as the English press loves him as a player).

You just proved why he's not a good player - good players play well most of the time - at least 70 percent. Any donkey - like Rashford - can have a good few games once in a blue moon. 'Purple patch players' aren't good footballers.

Even in the season people are wanking over him 22-23 - his general performances were poor, he was outscored by Callum Wilson in the league, and 10 of his 17 league goals came in a 10 game spell after the World Cup, Before the world cup United fans were slagging him.

In short, I think he's a massive fraud who benefits from the Man United and England NT hype machine, and will be found out. But we will have to wait and see.

Seems this team is due another humiliation or a real turnaround. Can't think of any good game we had this season. Even when beating some bums we manage to look bad.

Unlucky with injuries, but general level and commitment from players is way off.

I don't like our performances either but think we'll rise to occasion against Real.

Won't win shit for sure if players like Jamal and some others don't start pressing again.

I suspected at the start of the season that this Flick intensity and high line stuff is just not sustainable.

Let's call a spade a spade - Barca had little challenge in La Liga last season either, and shipped 7 goals against a defensive Inter side. They played entertaining football but wouldn't have won the league against a good Atletico or Real. Flick had a free run at it.

Yamal has dropped off a cliff, and as an objective non-Barca fan, a lot of these players are servicable, but have no business starting for a massive club like Barca. Pedri is the only world-class player in the team I think, Yamal too when on form. De Jong and Garcia are good. The rest are not befitting starting for Barca, when Barca are meant to be one of the best teams in the world.

I think some people on here shot their bolt far too early on Flick - they nailed their colours to the mast when he came, and they're afraid to admit they'll likely be wrong and it will all end in tears.

I am thinking Flick won't see next season. This is looking bad for Barca and this garbage kamikaze ultra high line is a disaster waiting to happen. Girona should have been 4-1 up at half-time the other day.
