Mendes and Hakimi alone destroyed our team mostly due to their athleticism and physicality. It's just the way it is, hate it or love it. Adapt or die.
Yeah, but they're actually good at football too.

There's too many donkeys with limited football ability making a career in the game because they're powerful athletes.

it's not athleticism that's the problem - it's athleticism as a compensation for no technical ability or football brain.

Hopefully I can stop watching soon.

The fact is football has evolved. Some here for get that some of our best teams were beaten by much more physical teams. This idealism is misplaced. Us stringing together 300 passes with no end product is something I don't want to see anymore.
If anything we should give Flick the players he needs. A proper striker, dm, cb and fbs.

Non Barca press writing about that second yellow and penalty. Both debatable, one more, other less.
Truth is, Greeks were back in the game and we didn't play good up until that point and team has no reason to be happy too much.

Rightly so. Ref out there to blatantly rob Olympiacos.
They score a valid goal but he overturns it for them to take a pen. Then he gives a yellow for a dive and pen for Barca where GK is first to ball.

Yeah I agree, especially with that first line. His tactics are too volatile and too much of a lottery.

His tactics are also extremely athleticism dependent, more so than actual football ability, and I dislike that in a coach. As @Messi983 says, it is no surprise your players are dropping like flies. This guy expects them to be the fittest team on the planet. And when you look at most of these players, they aren't even the most athletic of footballers. Yet this guy is trying to make them play as such. He has no depth yet he's making these guys try to run so hard when there's still 7 months of the season left. Seriously, is the guy stupid?

I just think he's too dogmatic and stuck to his system, and won't change it even in the face of it falling apart. He's like a better Ruben Amorim, in that respect.

I don't even like his system when it does work. I think his ultra high line is absolute dogshit and relies on a lot of luck and fine margins, even when it does work.
Perfect summary. Thanks. Flicks football is basically like saying go out, run and press like hell for 10 months so that we can score always 1 more goal than the opponent. But if you dont press, Well, it's not my tactics, it's your fault. Come on...disillusional approach. Flicks luck was that people were hungry for attractve football no matter what and jumped on the hype train. Yet this has absolutely nothing to do with serious football. When you have no balance on the pitch you will get punished against good and even also against not so good opponents. Fact! People who claim this to be good football have no clue about football at all. They Just think having 50000 posts on a forum like this proves them right. My advice is go and think about it first before you write and write and write...

It wasn't. VAR showed offside, so if Garcia didn't play with his hand, the goal would have been taken back. And Casado wasn't a dive. It was an act. He still hit his face with the hand, Casado just acted as if he was shot by a sniper. Only because the player makes it harder than it actually was, a hit in the face with a yellow card isn't the smartest thing to do.
I agree, that the ref decided 50/50 decisions in our favor, but non of it was a scandal.

Missed the offside thing. Fair enough if that's the case.
