The fact that we can go back just a few months and read how 95% of the forum was praising kounde and missed him in the CL, to now thinking he's what a 30-40m euros player? Come on.

Kounde since he's been signed for us has been between very good & excellent, he's off to a slow start this season and he's now. Not able to pull in serious interest if we put up for sale? Lol

50m is for decent player these days in the EPL. Kounde is way above that in any of those two positions.
Yes but that is usually for players with potential, worse players than Kounde currently but with the hope of them becoming better, 20-24 year olds, not 27. Potential is usually what is being paid for these days, not so much current ability.

Kounde is at his top level now. This is what you get. Barca aren't really satisfied with this level, why would anyone else be? Tottenham or United maybe. Would Kounde want to go there?

It's the market that decides the price, us saying he is worth 50m doesn't mean any club will want to pay that on top of his big salary. It's just unrealistic.

27 is 4-5 years in your prime. He's better than almost every RB & CB in the EPL, with very few exceptions.

The market will indeed determine the price, and there is no market where a 27-year-old, two-time league champion, France national team starter, who many serious football people called the second-best RB in the world last season and has probably been top 5 since signing for Barcelona, is going for 30m euros.

Since in your scenario, I'm assuming you think Frenkie would go for much more than him.

Just his versatility alone adds to his premium.

That's a great CV, but nobody is buying players based on that. If he is so good, then we should keep him. People talk about replacing Kounde with Muñoz, a player from Crystal Palace, what CV does he have?

I've already mentioned Frenkie in a previous post.

I said both would get us like 80m. Players are one factor, but Barca is another. The fact that we rarely get market value for our players destroys the thought that 120m is reasonable.

Don't think Frenkie and Kounde getting us 120m is unrealistic.
Frenkie himself would easily get us 80m. His reputation have improved a lot under Flick.

But Frenkie won't leave and who do you replace him with? Casado? Bernal? No sane person would.

Anderson we've been linked with, that's the type of DM we need beside Pedri

Probably cost around 50-60.

Ederson from Atalanta?
Depends on if you can trust him on the ball and in possession.

Both Bayern and PSG tried two such players in Palhinha and Ugarte and both were so bad for them in possession and such a liability that they were desperate to get rid of them after one year.

Luckily for both they found suckers in Spurs and Man Utd to take them off their hands.

Yea, from what little I've seen from him, he's a better passer than both by a fair amount and he can dribble out of the press like Frenkie and unlike those two

Buying Grimaldo is actually out of the question, he’ll be 32 next year. Hell no we paying for anybody over 31-32…

Grimaldo is decent but he is short and mid 30s while cant replicate the role Balde does in games like yeterday,

Has a far far better final ball and passing out but surely have to at least attempt for more like for like or have to change way left hand side plays when Balde missing.

Yes we need you. We need to get him in the club!

Nuno 65m / Balde
Kounde / Mokio 15m
Cubarsi / E Garcia
Vanderson 20m? --Espart/Farre/EGarcia backups -- Balde can play right also.

I think Farre & Espart are good, Gariba, Mayans and Exposito top talents maybe some more time needed. Baba i hope makes it into the first team. Either at CB or CDM.

Backline would be sorted would just need Saliba to top it.

Looks like we are interesed in some United academy kid JJ Gabriel. I think he's left winger

Should not be too hard to convince him to leave that mess if he is some talent. Never heard of him but people speak highly of his abilities
