Puig's best position is a CM.

That doesn't mean that he is good on that position for Barca's level.

Now, apply the same for Ferran.
As a winger, he is a terrible.
As a No9, he is a level for Getafe.

Where did Pep play him? On a wing or as a No9? I don't think that Xavi intends to use him as a No9 because of 2 reasons. First, we went for Auba, if he thought that Ferran is the solution for No9 we wouldn't have bought Auba. Second, we'll probably go for Haaland in summer and than Ferran for sure won't be used as a No9 anymore. I am almost sure that Xavi sees him as a right winger. No way in hell we would have spent 55 mil on a backup striker.

If, and that's a big "if" Fati can stay healthy and we somehow manage to sign Haaland our attack for season 2022/23 will probably be Fati-Haaland-Torres.

Yeah, we're busting Ferran's ass right now, as if world class players like Van Dijk, Modric, Ruben Dias weren't being called flops in their first months at their new clubs.

BBZ could very well be correct, but lambasting players after how they start in new clubs is not even a low hanging fruit. It is a frigging bottled smoothie unopened on the floor in front of you.

Modric was awesome player for years at Dinamo and Tottenham.
Have you tried to watch some of his full matches instead of watching 2 good youtube actions per match?

For example, open any match from Valencia or City.
His individual highlights are beyond boring to watch:

All of his moves could be summed up in three lines of text:
1. an average winger who is slow-ish and doesn't dribble
2. a winger who has nice shooting skills
3. as a winger, his trademark move is: get the ball, run. When he gets closed down, he doesn't dribble (because he mostly sucks at it) but he makes a backpass to a teammate and then makes a forward run (some sort of 1-2 pass) and then he tries to get rid of the opponent with his 1-2s/movement and not with his dribbles and pace. It can work here and there but it is nowhere good enough for any top team

Now, try to watch some of his random matches. I fell asleep around minute 60, so if something happened later, I apologize. I just didn't have the mental strength to endure the pain of watching the video till the end:

We just loaned Adama, who, even though a low IQ is several levels above 65m Ferran in terms of quality.
I am not trolling, probably even Deulufeu would be more useful at this Barca than Ferran.

'Adamas quality is levels above Ferran'
'Ferran is worth 12m'
'Ferran is on a level with Braithwaite and LDJ'

Lets see.

You claim Adama is dumb but maybe he is the clever one who realises his own limitations as a player and has made most out of it. Two ways to look at it and been guilty in past of saying same.

Bets on Ferran are the safest bets ever regarding youth players.

I don't know why you are always overrating City's players and everything regarding City.
You have Xavi's disease. He is also suffering from it. Half of Catalonia also.

Not sure what that means.

Over rating City? You just making things up?

You are one that constantly states ignorant things about how Peps teams play then have to be corrected on it.

Half the time you claim Pep signs robotic choir boys and thats why they fail and next post you claim he only sells bad players and never good ones.

Xavi is not playing anything like Pep. Shite point.

City are one of top 2/3 teams in Europe that have been dominating by far the strongest league. That is not 'over rating' them.

You come out with annual shite about how Peps football has been found out as soon as they lose a couple early league games and then just ignore that and start claiming they wont win CL when no one claims they are nailed on to anyway.

Will be interesting to see how tactically flexible he is when most attackers are back from injury/fit. Memphis, Auba, Adama and Dembele all thrive on fast transitions, but will Xavi be "pragmatic" enough to introduce a Lucho-like approach?

It should be part of his repertoire if he even uses the "cross and Inshallah".

Fast transitions with Busi as main playmaker in midfield wont work all that well. Not just him but last couple games Pedri been too slow to move ball also.

Will be more of same heavy possession of CBs ad DM not opening up much through middle and ball wide and into box.

Honestly, I do not put great hopes in Xavi as a coach. He is missing something essential to become great couch. Lazy to explain, but in my opinion he does not have the quality for Barca coach. Now, he has a lot of options but is incapable to bring constant good results. We should find an experienced and better couch if we want to see a good progress.

opposite. It seems like hes got something in him that makes him a great coach. Just havent figured it out yet.

Hes had options for two matches. One of them we completely destroyed them

I would really love to prove me wrong.
Another thought: why is he counting on Dembele when he has other better options and, more than that, he knows for sure that this clown will leave after 4 months. Why he should not try to build a team with the people who really love to play for Barca and bench this clown for ever??? Not saying that Xavi would have no reason to still count on Dembele as he does show anything special!!!! If I would be Xavi, I would completely forget about him. In this way, who knows, we mighhave a chance to force him to leave earlier than in summer and could save some money if that would really happen.

Busi haters in mud

Xavi: ?Criticism to Eric and Busi? At Bar?a everyone is criticized and must be accepted. It helped me improve in my day as a footballer, but for me Busquets is essential.?
