The squad is much better than playing.

The next coach wouldnt get the money Xavi has most likely but a lot to work with and improve.

Cant get out played by likes of Shaktar and many other clubs with far worse squads and then point to money.

Barca can spend.. if they are willing to sell players.. but they wont.

As said there is zero chance Xavi would sell likes of Gavi for Wirtz/Zubimendi it just wouldnt happen.

A great coach would never impose keepaway gimpball, have us playing well right away, and in one or two transfer windows assuming can get rid of some dead weight have us in CL semis next year.

Centralize the midfield and free up the wingers.

Stop asking players to gas themseslves sprinting around in this constant chaos of a press and focus instead on keeping tight, organized lines with emphasis on gegenpressing.

Attacking chemistry needs re-building from the ground up. Focus on concrete, simple attacking patterns to get it rolling.

The team can't get a "great coach". There's 2-3 of those around and all have better jobs already.

There's great coaches unattached right now.

I don't think this club would get anything out of a better coach though to be fair. We're so entrenched in our Catalan identity politics that we could never give them the freedom to build something.

If a new coach doesn't get funds, he'd be lucky to get a La Liga title like Xavi did.
Not true mate. We went from 17th in the prem to 2nd most points in a calendar year with basically the same squad.

Although the previous manager did like to whinge about the quality he had at his disposal.

Nah a new coach would be competing for league.

If Real get better than were under Xavi with Mbappe etc maybe.

As said it is unlikely any new coach gets the money Xavi did but a lot to work with and improve for Xavi or a new coach.

There plenty uknown to us great coaches, they just need elite squads to shine.

Don't have that elite squad. Need a truly great manager to make us compete at the top, not just a good one.

Or to discover the next Klopp or the next Pep. Just as hard as getting the real ones almost. And even then there's so much they can do, don't forget they still needed many hundreds of millions of investments to get the job done in CL.

The nearest to elite squad is City and Bayern but after that Barca dont have a worse squad than anyone that need Pep or Klopp to compete 50/50 at worst.

Even City and Bayern should be competing with just not favourites.

Folk are not expecting Barca to be favs for CL but to be better in Europe than being out played so often by vastly inferior squads.

Well we're not going to get a new manager, and we're not going to bomb out of the CL or anything.

And our play will surely improve once our midfield improves with the injury returns.

But apart from our shit play, one of the biggest disappointment is that we can't get anything out of having a proper right back. The rightback that Herb has been asking for since Winter market.

Basically none of his transfer requests ever work out or look like they have an idea on how to use. He has mostly been salvaged by the incredible talent in-house.

Well apart from Kounde... but only when he played at RB ironically enough.
