Thanks. Don Balon has a piece saying more or less the same thing (Biscuits is annoyed that his sub earns a lot more than he does). In his last interview on the club website, however, Biscuits DID say that there was no worry about his contract extension, that both he and the club wanted the same thing, etc.

So I'm not exactly worried at this point.

I'm sure the media is just overblowing the situation. They heard nothing so far, so they decided to fabricate the issues.

I remember reading an article about VV's and Xavi's contract renewal over a summer. Man, the media was going nutz, saying they're going to all these other clubs, etc. Then the preseason came around, they signed a new contract, and said to the media, something like, "over the summer it hurt to read all these fake stories on how i was leaving and contract negotiations were breaking down." etc etc. not an exact quote, but the jest of what he/they said.

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about Busquets.

He's from the suburb. His dad is a coach here. Pep gave him his chance when everyone thought he was rubbish. He's a vital part of the team. His buddies are here, etc...

Best defensive midfielder in the world IMO. He's clearly overtaken Mascherano, and only Cambiasso could claim to be on par with him.

Intelligent, tidy on ball, gritty, quick minded and kind of evil. No wonder SAF wants him, apparently. Keep your hand off, rednose. Boy is class.
