Real Madrid

Right manager is tricky to find, if it even exists, if the locker-room is infected by bad habits and an unprofessional attitude from multiple stars. Madrid have run themselves into a new Galactico era with the transfers they made.

This is no longer the Madrid from even 2-3 years ago, let alone the one from 2014-17. Their leaders have left, or retired one by one. The last ones were Modric, Kroos, Benzema, and even Carvajal who is as good as finished.

It happens to every cycle. Madrid managed to tie together two cycles, a great one and a very good one, because they had several leaders that were part in both, but that ended.

There is insufficient leadership in the current team. Likes of Camavinga, Bellingham, that petulant man-child Vinicius, the pampered Mbappe, Rodrygo, not enough leadership and dedication to form the backbone of a new cycle. There is talent, but not nearly enough manhood there.
Spot on. Madrid will go through manager after manager if they think their current squad is good enough.

None of their signings this summer were instant impact signings. Carreras maybe to an extent but he’s hardly Nuno Mendes.

To me Xabi comes across as a gentleman overall. He is a Spain and RM legend and has some merit with unbeaten Leverkusen Bundesliga title. As a rookie coach he still needs to learn and improve but getting rid after half a season with spoiled players not willing to work for him only to replace him with Arbeloa?! Just wow.
It's hard to be a gentleman among screaming, shit flinging chimps. Those creatures need ruthless taskmaster with a whip.

They don't, I hope they do that and lose more years, but they can also:

- sign a great manager and give him full authority
- sell their unwanted players for big fees
- splash big on the market
- form a new cycle because they have more money than us, far more.

The bad part is all of their poor players will be easily sold for big fees. There is money in the market and many teams would jump at them. Many would jump at Bellingham, Vinicius, Rodrigo, Tchouameni.

Whatever they decide to sell they will get huge funds from those deals and could invest those very effectively if they land a top manager.

They bought 4-5 guys and probably no one's a key member obviously. Huijsen, Mastantuono, Carreras, Trent etc.

Let me reiterate my same old argument : you have near unlimited money, you call yourself Royal and were voted club of the century and you put 11 men behind the ball against your eternal rivals.

I voted for 1-0 Barca win but they really disappointed.

None of that matters though for the future. They have money and a squad full of highly rated players. In 2009 we absolutely swept the floor with them. In 2-3 years they were huge challengers and one of the best sides in the world.

They can bounce back very fast.

They're just 4 points off the top of La Liga and still in the CL. It's hardly a crisis.

They just need to get the managerial appointment spot on like Barca did with Flick.

It will fix everything overnight.

Be that as it may, we will get stronger also after CAMP NOU is fully operational. It's very important to win everything we can this season. And maybe next season we can do it again. Strike iron while it's hot type of thing.

Barca put 5 past them on their birthday in 2010. In 2012 they got to 100 points and had like 120 goals. So, yes.

But that was a top 3 side ever( I would put them as clear n1 if they retained the CL title)

You'll win the league but the CL will be tricky with that defensive personnel.

Yes. It depends on players to a big degree. It's not like money is all you lack to sign the next Ronaldo, or the next Modric.

All I dare to demand is the league. CL I don't even take into consideration personally. I only focus on what's realistic, and hope for statue-worthy performances in CL to shock me from a select few players and Flick.
