Let's see the draw first. If we manage to get some luck and only have to go through one elite side, and then have the luck to play some Tottenham or Dortmund in the final like some teams had the chance to... it can happen. Small chance.

If we have to go through 2 of Arsenal, PSG, Bayern... next to zero chance.

They are capable to rebuild because EPL bums will lap up whatever bones they throw and jump on it, bragging they signed a Madrid player as if it's some sort of medal.
Exactly, and thats what im afraid of. Selling rodrygo, camavinga, tchouameni alone would bring them 150m + , wont even mention vini jr. They could easily sell and replace with 100m transfers

I don't know how is their situation going to change. This is going to be a long couple of years for madridistas

Their players are like princesses who can't run too much because they are too big for it. And if you look at top teams of modern football, every single player runs like a pig when manager tells him to

They had 2 very good seasons with Carlo and now they probably think they can do the same. No running, no pressing football and win the UCL

But Carlo is one of greatest ever managers. They don't grow on trees. And I don't think there is a lot managers today like Carlo. And it also has to be said those 2 seasons Barça was horrible so domestically it was walk in the park while they had tremendous luck in the CL

Football can change in days. Hire the right manager and bad times can pass by fast.

Fuck transition periods. Biggest fallacy in football.

Right manager is tricky to find, if it even exists, if the locker-room is infected by bad habits and an unprofessional attitude from multiple stars. Madrid have run themselves into a new Galactico era with the transfers they made.

This is no longer the Madrid from even 2-3 years ago, let alone the one from 2014-17. Their leaders have left, or retired one by one. The last ones were Modric, Kroos, Benzema, and even Carvajal who is as good as finished.

It happens to every cycle. Madrid managed to tie together two cycles, a great one and a very good one, because they had several leaders that were part in both, but that ended.

There is insufficient leadership in the current team. Likes of Camavinga, Bellingham, that petulant man-child Vinicius, the pampered Mbappe, Rodrygo, not enough leadership and dedication to form the backbone of a new cycle. There is talent, but not nearly enough manhood there.
