Right, he can surely explain how Nico's agent begging Deco to meet and Barca to think about a transfer this summer suits his logic. Surely it has nothing to do with damage limitation in front of your own fans
How predictable. You just need to hope your brother won't start to hate you going forward for convincing him to sign a 10 year deal at Bilbao. Because he doesn't seem like he wants to spend his entire career there.

There were already reports about such a long term deal with Bilbao since April, I think it was @Horatio who posted it here.

This isn't just a family thing, Nico wanted it and he played both clubs to get the deal he wants. His brother won't go out and say "we leveraged Barca to get more money from our boyhood clubs" and will make as the bad guys.

Barca themselves were gullible, top to bottom, and have themselves to blame.

Bilbao will be the ones who has to worry, they are committing over 10% of their total salary cap to one player for a full decade. If he gets Umtitied (hopefully not) they will be fucked, badly
