And in other seasons where suffered humiliation went further and beat better teams.Well, in other seasons we didn't even make it past groups.
Not relevant.
To get out a group like Barca did in that PSG season is nothing.

Going from group stages to quarter finals to semi finals in a 3 year period with an really young core is an improvement nevertheless.Indeed.. thats why no credit for collapsing and to make out QF v PSG elimination won back respect is utter garbage.
It was yet another collapse.

Cause that side was filled with players who won UCLs, proven winners and under the guidance of the greatest athlete the world has ever seen.Changing the argument.
No one said 'oh well at least we made semis finals' when tanked 4-0 by Liverpool.

For context, the 2006 CL winning team in the 2 year period before the CL went out to Chelsea in 2005 despite being in the same level and out to Celtic in 2004 despite genuinely having the better team. These European eliminations on paper are humiliations and everything but when you look at it from another lense they are lessons for the squad in their road to finally conquer Europe.

The point is when you consider the squad we had in the last 3 European eliminations, although they do look like humiliations, it kind of makes sense. The squad is still developing and still learning. They need to gain experience and understand how to deal with the Champions League to be able to win it and go further in the competition. Every elimination helped us take a step forward in a way or so. Now I’m not excusing those failures but they are forgivable considering the young team we have. That doesnt really add anything to what is being debated though.

I agree that we were capable of being good enough to beat those teams but we collapsed. But football doesn’t work like that, yes despite us being good enough to beat them we couldn’t because we weren’t ready yet. Failure is the first step of success, you have to be able to gain experience in something before you master it. There is a reason why many historic dynasties had to suffer before they truly raised their level and started their dynasty. We also went out with better teams in 2010 and 2012, despite being the better team on paper clearly but we couldn’t do it. It just wasn’t mean’t to be.No it doesnt. The squad were more than good enough to beat those teams and collapsed.
A massive opportunity missed both times and that doesnt change if Barca go on to win it this season.
Barca the last two seasons were eliminated by the first even decent team they met.
The example of Yamal and Pedri doesn’t make sense though, they are a big part of the team but they couldn’t carry a relatively inexperienced squad to the trophy. I mean Yamal did do a huge mistake by taking a shot relatively late in the game when we needed to defend and keep the ball. Pedri was relatively alright in the Inter game, just because they played 1-2 UCL campaigns and did well in the Euros doesn’t guarantee that they are ready to win the UCL…No it doesnt. The squad were more than good enough to beat those teams and collapsed.

Yamal who won Euros and was really the best there.. who dominated Real and has dominated Inter across the two ties is not some negative due to his age.
Pedri the same and many others. This idea of lacking experience is an excuse.
You are massively over egging how young Barcas team were.. they started one teenager.. who is the best player at club and another who is a Spain intl.
The last team to win the UCL with relatively low experience was Ajax in 1995.Circular logic.
Cant suffer a humiliation until stop suffering them.
You place far far too much emphasis on CL experience and winning at top level previously.
PSG proved that.
Barca had more than enough experience and it is an excuse and not why team failed.
The least experienced Barca player was the best one.
