Is the goal prevented based on xG or "post shot xG"

According to football reference (they quote opta) his Post shot xG - goals conceded is 8.3, which is the top in La Liga and 8th in Europe top 5 leagues.

When you adjust it to per 90 minutes, to remove data being skewed to those played more games, he come as 10th in Europe and still top in Liga.
Lucas Chevalier also has identical numbers. he is one who we are linked to. Svilar from Roma is doing slightly worse but his numbers is still great
Yahia Fofana and Yehvann Diouf also Savic who is now linked to City. All 3 would be bargains.

However, the list is skewed heavily to players from the 2nd half of the table. Same with saving percentage, they face far more shots, even more difficult ones, that give them a chance to make numbers looks better.
This is why Chevalier and Svilar numbers are most impressive to me, they are both outstanding with teams fighting for CL spots. Bulka is another name that is fairly doing well in competitive team and is FA in 2026

Other Stats:
Passing numbers are difficult to assess, but between all aforementioned GoalKeepers, Garcia & Fofana are actually doing the best among good shoot stoppers.

Another one that depends on the style of play, is crosses claimed. If judging by percentage, again Garcia & Fofana are the standouts.

Sweeping is another one, with our own Pena and Tek being by far top 2, Pena is averaging 6.13 sweeping actions per 90 minutes, while 3rd name in the list is at 2.71, shows how our style is affecting it. Garcia comes first but barely in the top 60, whoever comes will have to learn to do it.

Now, take a look at last year numbers

Garcia is nowhere to be found in the shot stopping numbers, Fofana was in 2nd division so no data, Diouf numbers are underwhelming, Bulka and Svilar are doing well but below current season.

The one consistent is Lucas Chevalier who was putting similar number to this season while playing in a team that qualified to the CL. It is also notable he kept consistent performer in CL this season himself.

The TLDR version:
Garcia is having a World Class season and one of the best in Europe and I understand the appeal to get him considering he is having a decent buyout clause, he is Catalan who already plays in the City and knows the league. While being fairly young, but not a prospect, and have good height.

However, I think Lucas Chevalier should be the number one target. He is amazing GK whom whatever you say about Joan, he is similar, but more proven, more consistent, he is Barca fan too.

Bulka and maybe Fofana are worth looking at as potential Free agents in 2026, so likely even more cost friendly. Svilar is another very good and proven option, however unlikely to make sense due to cost.

Bringing this back. Reims just relegated so Diouf sure to be on the move, and at a bargain.

I think we are going to get him

Deco and Hansi Flick are aware that if Joan García arrives, he'd become the starter. @martinezferran

Joan García will make his decision next week. Barcelona are optimistic about the final outcome. @martinezferran, @RogerTorello

There's no decision to be made.
We need to be at 1:1 rule, he doesn't want a similar situation like Olmo. Just like Nico, he wants either assurance or is waiting for the financial year to start, and to see if we are in a position to register new players.
Also, I don't think he would want any of that asinine loan proposal that was reported i the papers.
