I noted that only spanish journos are making all the noise about PL clubs wanting him. The english media on the other hand haven't gave a single word about it.

JUST IN: Barcelona is now in a strong position to sign Joan García. Both the player and his camp value the efforts made by Barça. The club is prepared to activate his release clause as soon as they receive the green light. [

No english scource has said anything about joan garcia , just Spanish ones
All the big scources said in the past that for city it was diogo costa from porto

His agent is the one leaking those interest and generating that hype.
City reportedly wanted both Joan Garcia and Diogo Costa, with Costa the priority and Joan Garcia and opportunity.
To be honest I think most of the suitors are viewing Joan Garcia as the latter, an opportunity.
He's come off a great season but I'm not really sure of his end level. It's not as if he excels off of any one facet.
Going back a bit now, there was a guy called Tony Robles at Betis who had a fantastic debut season out of nowhere. Then turned into a dud. And there's many more like that. A team like City wouldn't want to risk that.
I don't think any bid Prem club is looking at Joan as an outright starter outside maybe Villa. And even then it seems a few rate Remiro higher.

Like I said only Spanish scources have mentioned garcia
We will have to wait and see , hope he comes.

I don't think any big PL side will go for JG with first team guarantees.
I don't think even Barcelona can really offer that. The sample size is so small that 12 months ago no one would seriously name him as an option.
