Or Dimitrievski who had a similar career arch, until he looked great around 2021 and then turned out shit again.

Edit: and Navas wasn't a top 5 GK. He was worse than Ter Stegen, but stepped up in CL. Domestically he was average GK and this is why RM was always desperate to upgrade. Barca fans only cared abouthis CL performances, but Real watched him every game.

Sure, but there is opportunity cost in that.

Whoever we sign, is 99% starting for the next decade. Historically, Barca doesn't spend oneither GK or CB. With the former, the club can be satisfied with mediocrity.


If Joan is just average of above average, then ypu are stuck with that for the next decade.

There are other options now, there are other options by next year. We don't need to be stuck with a one season wonder whose agent is trying to play us, just because we are desperate to get rid of Marc.

We made an offer, and it is clearly the only real one on the table. Give him a week to decide and if he doesn't move on.

In a normal world this is hardly a transfer to get excited about (low profile/low fee), but Stegens reign of terror does this to you.

Are you one of those Football fans who loved the bartomeu time where we where spending big twice a year?
I am more satisfied when our transfer-spending-summ is below 50 million this summer as i would if it is more than 50.

We don’t need big transfer in most positions because la masia covers it, but for GK and striker we have to do it. Garcia is very cheap, if we don’t get him there are many clubs who would pay 25 mil for him,even if he should only be their 2nd GK

Let's hope we sign this Garcia guy. We'll find out how rated Stegen is. I suppose teams will make a queue to have a chance to sign him.

Nah, hated the Griezmann + Coutinho transfers for example.. but even guys like Kounde, Raph and co are a different category to a mostly unknown keeper for 25m.
