BREAKING: Sources from UEFA claiming referee help has been provided to Real Madrid in an under-the-table deal with Perez only for Perez to play them [SkyNews]

Wow
Huge if true

This legit? Uefa admitting their corruption. Best to leave the CL then.

What do you mean where will they play? THe club teams or the international teams? Lots of people already say World Cups should only be played in countries with the infrastructure available instead of wasting millions they don't have. That means Western european, North american nations followed by select Asian countries (China/Korea/Japan/Austrailia). US was hosting 2026 WC anyways and if somethign happens with FIFA and another WC is set up US can still host because they already got the best stadiums ready to go on a dime's notice.

The national teams. FIFA already threatening to exclude teams from the comps, why would it be any different to NTs that leave?
Also sounds like the US has reasons to stay then.

Doubt clubs would go out publicly without having a plan to deal with UEFA tantrums.

Unless Uefa tries to kick them out of national leagues, it's all futile.

Like any player's gonna refuse a salary big clubs can offer.

I wonder what the spending limits for the ESL will be like, since it will not be subject to the FFP or whatever the next incarnation of FFP is. Obviously we can't compete with the like of City and PSG (if they join) etc., not even FSG's Liverpool or the Glazers' Manchester United if clubs are allowed to put all it and spend as much as they would like to.

Let's hope the ESL will not become like Bundesliga with City winning the ESL trophy every year and the other 11 clubs vying for the 2nd spot. :coffee:

How will this work exactly? They say it will be midweek games and then clubs will play in their own domestic leagues as well. I doubt they will be able to compete in Cup competitions but even if they don't the players will be burnt out from so many big games being played in a season. Hope it doesn't happen anyway because it's not fair on the smaller clubs

The fact City and PSG are invited says everything you need to know honestly. imagine them also being a founding member with a voice in decisions being made, yikes!
