Yea if this is delayed by 12 months for the total construction, that's considered being on time for a project this large.

A few of the finer details when I see them, look abit off, like the cement work, but not a big detail. But not a big deal

Benches are ready. The design is pretty much the same, also the exit from the tunnels didn't change.

Actually sacrificed Ronaldo for this as my desktop wallpaper. So beautiful.

All about the lightning, which in this case,is perfect. Also the Barca on billboards is a nice touch.

Now 5000 lucky souls more will watch them annihilate RM live.

Almost one year late and with way smaller capacity than promised.

Any CEO of any respectable company would have been fired long ago.

But Barca is not being run professionally so everything goes. They filmed the lying fat man lying in centre of it as if he has something to be proud of while making it about himself.

Shameless and incompetent.

0 CEO is getting fired for getting done what others have failed to for decades, a pillar for the clubs future, because it got delayed by 12 months 😂 😂.

A massive construction project is delayed and over budget in the western world, where have we heard this before I wonder 🤔.

What 'OTHERS' have failed to do for decades...

Reality.. Laporta before came back was the longest serving President in the previous 20 years. So he takes most of the blame for the failure to build stadium in that time according to logic.

As been said before Barca were never ever going to build that stadium and move away from Camp Nou with peak Messi. Weakening team could have put round him.

That is no to 'blame' Messi at all. It just means because of how special he was the club wanted to maximise that for present and future.

Taking out huge loans to build a stadium in the plans largely of others is not some massive achievement despite fact gad to be done and club were losing more and more money due to age of Camp Nou.

It is the fans that build the stadium and the ones that will fill it not Laporta taking plans of others and loans to do it.

As Jammy said, Laporta is on his way to deliver something that was just a PowerPoint presentation for the last 20 years, serving election campaigns. It's not cutting edge, but we are not doing just some facade work like Bernabeu with the retractable roof and underground pitch mechanics. Camp Nou is a full rebuild. Such extras can be added in another time, if needed at all.

I don't understand the negative vibe. The work has never stopped, there's funding and Camp Nou is not some dusty, concrete half-ass monument like Nou Mestalla down south. The one issue I have is Limak never really bothered with Laporta's statements, "we're opening in February, then August, then September..." it should not open until January 2026 IMO, judging by the live footage. I addressed it previously, Limak don't give a fuck whatever Laporta say. They work on their schedule. There's fencing installed on the third tier, which is completely unnecessary at this stage.

It was never getting done while likes of Messi was in his pomp is the reality.

There is a reason both Barca and Real waited for Ronaldo and Messi to go before starting almost as soon as they could on stadium upgrades.

Making points as if Laporta started the stadium after decades of others chosing not to fails to take into account he is the President that sat on it the longest in that time.

Tbf it didn’t come into reality until 2008 which is the earliest I heard Barcelona thought of renovating the Camp Nou, which coincidentally coincided with Laporta’s final 2 seasons at the club. So basically he couldn’t do anything since his term would expire.
