Camp Nou will apparently be the best looking stadium EVER. Can't wait to watch a game on it.
Tbf it didn’t come into reality until 2008 which is the earliest I heard Barcelona thought of renovating the Camp Nou, which coincidentally coincided with Laporta’s final 2 seasons at the club. So basically he couldn’t do anything since his term would expire.
National Securities Market Commission published the total amount of the €237 million agreement between Valencia CF and the financial institution Goldman Sachs to finance the stadium renovations.
The CNMV announced that Valencia CF will have to repay the loan from the first payment in 2028 to the final payment in 2052, a total of 24 years, with each subsequent payment requiring more money. It begins with a payment of 2.6 million euros plus interest, almost tenfold, with 20.03 million euros plus interest in the final year.
The annual interest rate of 5.82% will mean the club will ultimately pay 267 million in interest . In total, it will end up paying 504 million to complete the stadium .
We dodged a bullet if we had started earlier2008 was when the economic crisis hit. Nou Mestalla, again, is one of those unfortunate projects that got caught mid-crisis and was abandoned. Despite the CVC deal Valencia accepted, construction work hasn't resumed.
Camp Nou renovation could have happened earlier, but I don't remember Rosell throwing the idea around. Bartomeu teased the idea a few times.

Club was in a bad situation financially anyways by 2003. So renovating the stadium was unrealistic
club was dead during Gaspart era. Dinho saved everything and then obviously the best player ever. Barca was nearly bankrupt in 2003 specifically.Club was in a bad situation financially anyways by 2003. So renovating the stadium was unrealistic
We had just won the league and the stadium will pay off for itself. Why do some people try to act as if renovating the stadium is a bad thing to try to push their agenda against Laporta????They literally started it in a far far worse situation.

Whoever say it's a bad thing needs a fan check on Barca. We had just won the league and the stadium will pay off for itself. Why do some people try to act as if renovating the stadium is a bad thing to try to push their agenda against Laporta????
Ok I was taking it too far there, basically no one is saying it’s a bad thing. But people on this forum whine so much about the delays and the lies as if it doesn’t happen to literally any major construction project in the world
