We'll still have Europe's biggest stadium.

Man Utd will have 100k.

Just checked again and it says 104k gross capacity with 100k seated. Standing area?

Let's say we start this season at spotify at half capacity. Will summer 2026 be enough for the roof + wrapping of the sides + big screens + Skywalk? Two months for this ?

Slim to almost no chance. It's probably 2 seasons until full completion. if we start this season at reduced capacity, I think in summer of 2017 it's done. One year delay is gonna be a sure thing.

I think since the 2nd stage will define the final count of seats explains why 104k gross capacity is the new updated figure - I have seen/read 103,200 but this may be a preliminary estimate

I suspect the final number will be announced during the season as they get closer to summer 2026

Barca has 6 million fans in Catalonia alone out of the 8 million population. There is not many clubs in the world that have more local fans.

The fact that we don't fill the stadium is again down to way the tickets are distributed and prioritising members who are not bothering to turn up. Then you have the issue of the loudest fans being banned from the stadium.

We are the only team in Europe where 4,000 fans are singing on the street before the games and then most of them are not allowed in. Pricing is an issue as well where local fans can't afford to go.

They need to sort this out for the new stadium, but I doubt they will. They could probably average over 90k for attendance, but will probably be in the upper 80s.

Laporta cares only about money, tourist pay those ridiciolous prices. Fuck local real fans and matchday atmosphere... The feeling in CN will be a little better because of the great stadium but mostly it will still be silence link in a graveyard.

They should at least make a singing section with cheap tickets for local fans. It's pretty embarrassing if they don't, since this is what most clubs in Spain do, especially in the Basque region. Just to keep the atmosphere throughout the stadium going.

PSG have some of the loudest fans in Europe and I've seen games where the Ultras decided to boycott. The stadium was full on the other 3 out of 4 sides and the fans were totally quiet. I mean COVID levels quiet.

This is how all stadiums in Europe operate. A vociferous singing section to lead the chanting. Infact, only the EPL doesn't follow this, as they have totally sold out to consumerism. And their teams get outsung by foreign away fans pretty much every game as a result.

Are we really going to turn as soulless as the EPL clubs, where it is all about the almighty dollar? I hope not.

The club will milk the tourists, because they know tourists are ready to pay these prices anyways being once in the Camp Nou.

The good thing is that the Barcelona locals will now not need to go around the cafes throwing water balloons shouting "tourists out!".

They can now just go to the New Camp Nou and find them all congregating.

Mayba Laporta can lead this charge as a staunch nationalist.

...oh wait ;)

They can easily make an area with cheaper seats and higher capacity, as most of these fans stand anyways. Just have a strict application and. monitoring policy for these fans, and it will be grand.
They wont do it, but it would be so much better for the game and the club in the long run.
