Garcia 25
Grimaldo 15
Lookman 30

70m in total to provide a lot of depth and competition to current squad, despite not being the most sexy names. Then like others said we go big for a CF and CB next year.

This would be a very smart transfer window for not a lot on money but it's a big IF Grimaldo and Lookman will really cost only that much.

If I wasn't convinced Pep had totally lost the plot with some of his recent signings, the transfer of Cherki will seal the deal.

Never have I been convinced by anything football related as much as I am that Cherki is a bang average player, destined to fail at a big club.

Nico, Khusanov, even Marmoosh bar a handful of good long shots, have all been nothing players for City so far.

Probably a level of self sabotage to what Pep is doing, as a result of his divorce. In the same way, athletes perform better when they have a big positive change in their personal lives ( like having a baby ).

Kusen Fans say the release clause is bullshit, because they gave him a good salary and hand-money on top. Also there was never a rumor about such a clause to begin with and serious media in Germany don't write anything as well. They are calm and I tend to agree with them.

Could be a trend. No one expected the Frimpong release clause either.

Even if this isn't true, it will be a trend agents request to move and renew at these type clubs

That's wrong, German media wrote about it spring 2024 already and I'm sure without looking now, that the clause was known much earlier.

edit: I looked it up. first news about it were in October 23, when he extended his contract with this release clause.

It's stupid to have two elite level left backs in the squad. Grimaldo at 29 years old won't sit on the bench given his current level. Similarly, Balde, given his current level, won't agree to sit on the bench.

That is true.
However, Grimaldo might want a return to Spain, and he is unlikely to be a starter anywhere else.
Balde is injury prone, both our CL exits in last 2 seasons happened when he was injured. Barca need a LB that is better than a "backup" level. We need a reliable one that is semi-starter.
So,Grimaldo will get a fair playing time here.
Too many IF for it to happen, starting with the RC, him wanting to come back to Liga and neither Atletico or Real offering him a starting spot.

Do these even look like Guardiola signings? 😂 Be serious. Txiki’s the one who’s lost the plot. Pep wouldnever greenlight the likes of Aitnouri, Khusanov and Gibbs-White (what the actual ...). This ain't a transfer window, it’s a career sabotage speedrun.

I think Txiki is not even at City anymore.

But I agree.

City will spend 400mil on random average players.

Cherki is really good option for 30mil, he is in same talent level as Wirtz, but really crazy head.

He moves Barca very much!

It's happening.

If we sign

a GK, ST/LF, and a LB,

that's 3 of the 4 positions I said we should improve; the other being DM, but that's a more high-potential signing to take us to a different level—it was never going to realistically happen.

Me, Deco, Flick, and Waporta are cooking,

Just trust that process.

Next summer CB and ST.

We were linked with Perišić last summer. It now sounds like they made a good choice and he would have definitely helped us.
Now it's too late

:bartomeu: sending us gifts from his grave
If only he was in a grave rather than the state of the club he left it

Any transfer window that leaves a 37 year old as starting striker for the biggest club in the world, is a massive failure, for me.
Yeah obviously Lewa has been a fantastic striker in his career, but he's just too old. I know he scored plenty of goals last season but he showed his age in a lot of games I watched too.

Doesn't matter who you are, you can't be a 37-year-old starting CF for FC Barcelona.
