Apparently, Grimaldo has a release clause for 15-18M and this is one of the reasons we want him, according to Deco mouthpiece aka F.Polo

Don't think Reijnders is a Nico replacement. More likely coming in for Gundo or Kova. Think Nico will become a pretty important squad player for Pep.

City fans on Bluemoon are actually not that high on Nico and feels that Pep isn't convinced.

This is in a City team without Rodri or new signings like Reijnders.

Nico is likely staying, and will be part of the rotation, but I doubt he will be a starter there.

Cherki is also signing. So assuming all fit midfield will be some combination of Rodri-Reijnders-Cherki in however way Pep chooses to sheikh it.

Cherki could be on the right I guess, but from what I am reading will replace De Bruyne who acted centrally as a start point.

If I am correct, would relegate Nico to the bench, or atleast first rotation. Normal clubs don't pay 60m in winter for that.

Yeah, that's what I said, an important squad player, not a starter. But see him filling in for both Rodri (coming back from an injury probably won't play full 90 minutes every game) and Reijnders. Gundo's and Kova's minutes (if they will both stay) will decrease. Cherki and Marmoush will probably rotate at #10 but both are versatile enough to play other positions as well. As is most of their squad tbf so who knows what Pep is cooking.

I had the same though but City team is weirdly built and not enough starting wingers there. I think Marmoush has been success so far and likely starting. So, Reijnders, Rodri, Cherki, Marmoush and Halaand. They are likely playing with 4 defenders, so one more starter is likely a winger. Summer will make thungs clearer though.

Agreed.

Hey if you got the luxury, could do alot worse.

But then if you got the luxury, could do alot better

Wouldn't be surprised to see Pep using 3 atb again either considering reports they are closing in on Ait-Nouri deal and also interested in Livramento. They have a lot of CBs and that way could play both Haaland and Marmoush upfront.

We're probably all overthinking this even more than Pep.

Grimaldo for that price would be ideal. He could fill out that offensive wingback role without a problem, he would probably be an even better than Balde against low blocks where we need more creativity from our fullbacks.

Hope it's true. Joan Garcia, Grimaldo + a winger would be a good transfer window even though we need more new players but we have to be realistic. In 2026 we go for a ST and CB and we will have most of the squad complete if the signings will work out.

Garcia 25
Grimaldo 15
Lookman 30

70m in total to provide a lot of depth and competition to current squad, despite not being the most sexy names. Then like others said we go big for a CF and CB next year.

Kusen Fans say the release clause is bullshit, because they gave him a good salary and hand-money on top. Also there was never a rumor about such a clause to begin with and serious media in Germany don't write anything as well. They are calm and I tend to agree with them.

It's stupid to have two elite level left backs in the squad. Grimaldo at 29 years old won't sit on the bench given his current level. Similarly, Balde, given his current level, won't agree to sit on the bench.

Polo is the new Romero

All he needs is to learn to twerk
and start streaming on twitch, baiting people into subs with huge exclusive infos that he really really can't share, then proceed to hang on the phone for 2 hours to reveal afterwards he knows some agent was at some restaurant and that's already way too much he was allowed to say, but for more subs you'll know what the agent ordered.

That's likely imo. Seemed too low of a clause.
