I don't think he's referring to himself at all here. He's never been a shouter. Even when he's mad at someone he doesn't really shout much.
It's just a general commentary on the dynamics between players and coaches. This generation is really soft and precious so it makes sense.
Yeah, he did try it. Remember full well how he was yelling at Lamine 2 seasons ago. Noone takes him seriously though.
