6 - Gavi

Terrible injury. Almost as bad as they come.

Odds are against him as players don't often come back the same after injuries like this.

The idiots running Barca and the Spanish NT will never learn.

Ansu, Pedri and now Gavi…all with these controversial injuries. These young players are terribly managed.

Yamal will be next.

They got injured because they are weak

Torn ACL + meniscus.

That's worse than initially thought.

Yeesh.

I hate to be that guy, but:-

-as is the norm, for every player who gets injured during the international break, FIFA is supposed to pay a particular fee to the player’s club.
With that in mind, FIFA is expected to pay around €20,548 for each day a player is out on the sidelines, due to the injury he picked up during the international break.
-The programme compensates clubs up to a maximum of $7.5m per player per accident. The maximum of $7.5m is calculated at a daily 'pro rata' compensation which is payable for a maximum of 365 days after the first 28 days of disablement (initial 28 days not covered). The compensation payable is based on the fixed salary (including mandatory social security charges) that the club pays directly to the player. Compensation does not include variable amounts, one-off payments, payments not made on a regular basis, or any bonuses, including performance bonuses.

Atleast salary cap wise, Gavi wage should be in majority covered.

The 2 brightest prospects to emerge at this club has both been terribly mismanaged with their injuries, and now the 3rd youngster has snapped his ACL and damaged his lateral meniscus.

Pedri was terribly overplayed at a young age, and has since been managed poorly and rushed back from injuries several times. Ansu's minutes were initially managed better, but the whole recovery process was a mess and again poorly handled by the club.

Now it's Gavi, and I'm not sure we've learned a single thing from any of the other cases. These are not only some of our currently most important players, but more importantly the future of the club and has the biggest market value yet we seem to treat them with so little care for their physical health (could argue mental too).

Now Yamal has emerged at an even younger age than the former three as the potentially biggest talent of them all, and yet again he's getting played quite a lot and being put under some heavy pressure starting games. All because Xavi after spending 200+ million since he took over, still can't comfortably beat teams like Mallorca, Granada, Shaktar and Alaves without the help of 16 year olds.

This is what happens when you think teenagers are gonna be starters at 16-18 years old. The club should have sacrificed 3-4 seasons of not competing for the big title, and protected these kids. let them develop in time. Basically turn into a Dortmund type team for 3-4 years.

They didn't, expected to compete too soon, rushed them, and things went bad.

Few months ago you were claiming Gavi was not over played and he was just 'built differently' or something along those lines.

Fati and Gavis injuries could be freak incidents that could happen in training or in a youth game. It is hard to tell.

Same posters that moan he was oveplayed are the ones saying how Barca should compete vs likes of Bayern because these kids are so great already.

Complete joke. If one could die of irony they would be 6 feet under by now.

Fake news.

You claimed Gavi wasnt over played and he is built differently... now saying he was over played.

Usual Serghie nonsense.

Bayern? The team you claim are over rated... top stuff.

Said it many times before that kids should not play as much. You need money to sign top players in their prime in order to compete. Serious money. Got tired of saying it in the last 2 seasons of so.

Nah you said no issue with Gavi playing so much as he is built differently.

Dont doubt you contradicted yourself as usual when it comes to Xavi though.

Fati wasnt even really over played anyway and was a freak accident.
