We play high line because Flick is mostly trying to play to our strengths (attacking instead of defending). If we ever get proper defense reinforcements, I'm sure he wouldn't be so stubborn with it.

Doubt it. That video with him playing high line in CL final vs Mbappe in the last minute at 1-0... best accept it and move on.

Try to minimize errors but if it can't be done, that's football. We can still win with conceded goals due to this and we just did it again and are 4 points clear.

Play a lower line and defenders are more exposed to other dangers and some of those is actually handling forwards and clearing high balls. Both of those things Cuba does not excel in.

Christensen has not yet picked up any injuries, maybe he will actually be fit this season.

There must be something wrong with him too. There were numerous opportunities to field him, yet Flick has chosen different options despite CB position being the biggest issue all season.

Christensen has to be one of the least used players in squad.

He has lots of time to improve. He kind of reminds me of Eric when he was at city. It took Eric a while to come into his own but now is a very useful player.

Timid player. If he wasn't from last masia he wouldn't even be on the bench. Flick has no choice.

I think it's reasonable to expect yeah, he's still young, but also it's reasonable to expect him to at least be switched on at all times.

He's played too many games to understand he shouldn't be falling asleep that often, and we shouldn't have to keep yelling at him to pay attention with the positioning of the rest of the defensive line and where the ball is going to be played.

I think the one game we drew vs Getafe last season infuriated me because he was switched off and ended up botching the header allowing Getafe to score. He had too many moments like that last season and this one so far.

Playing such a high line when you are only 18 and still inexperienced is tough, specially when u need to play in a defense with Kounde (dogshit) and Martin who is even less experienced than you as a CB.. Inigo leaving was a huge mistake.

This kid is too weak to handle strikers and provides no presence in the box. No speed for high line either.
And when the passing is not on point there really isn't anything there.

Not his fault, of course as Barca was/is forced to rely on him.

I know Martin didn't have a great game either but I hated how Cubarsi left him to die on a couple of occasions, especially on that Garcia double save as Martin had to rush and cover leaving his side exposed as well.

I get it he's young and still has a lot to learn but he gets way into trouble with his reading of the game most of the time. A lot of that stuff is just amateurish.

They'll never bench him, the club will look for someone to complement him, not replace him. He's the Catalan golden boy, you can't bench him. Our best hope is that he improves.

In an ideal world he would be our 3rd CB, playing less intense games and gathering experience and maybe in a few years he would be ready to become a starter.
