Same way with Araujo heavy impact and his ankle.

Then you have Olmo who plays low set but unable to ride challenges (like Neymar for example) and always takes heavy impacts and gets injured.

Injuries waiting to happen these lads.

Also the flip side of the coin hold true as well.. some players were completely done after ACL such as R9, Falcao , Alaba to name a few..

I think it has nothing to do with specific playing parameters .. more of a combination of idiosyncratic factors and player-willingness .

Certain styles will be more prone to injury inducing impacts.

I'll give you an example but can't give names. I'm watching a very young youth prospect from a LaLiga academy weekly.

He is the best talent in the age group but every training session he is getting hurt. No serious injuries luckily though.

But this style its only a matter of time until he is. Dribbles way too hard, plants feet when turning past opponents and doesn't know how to ride a challenge.

I know it's difficult at this stage, because Frenkie and Pedri are fucking amazing right now - but this dude needs minutes... sure, the other evening was not the day, we chased a win and barely made it. But when we're 2ish goals up give him minutes - if he proves to be better than Casado we might need to look for a exit for Casado.

The three full games I saw him last season before his injury were some of the greatest displays of the Barca way of controlling from the DM position in a long time.

He should be given all the minutes he can get - Especially to keep the likes of Frenkie and Pedri fresh for the last stretch of the season where, hopefully, the biggest trophies are still a possibility.

Folk are massively over blowing how good he was in those games.

He largely played the ball safe which was understandable.

Say that as being a fan of him for long enough but he was not nearly as good in those games as folk are now making out.

For his age tremendous but not to level being made out at all.

The bigger concern is not not playing Bernal, but not rushing him because of Casado is playing poorly.
