He wasnt great for Dutch last night.
Tidy enough on ball but very one paced and dont think Koeman was happy with him or Reijnders as both taken off as soon as Poland equalised.
Dutch looked like thought game was won.

If Olmo and Fermin dont shape up then it could well be Gavi in midfield and they can swap their roles dependent on what team needs.
Still think for that need Yamal centrally more and dont really have a RB that takes width.

Could explain it or its Koeman protecting him a bit as the instant Polan equalised both FDJ and Reijnders came off.
Maybe he was playing with it though.

Frenkie is the most gifted when it comes to feeling on ball and connecting with it and putting right weight.
Reminiscent of another great that played for us not long ago. He should mentor Raphinha.
All those stray balls ending up from rebound or whatever near the box, he needs to be allowed to pick those up and shoot more often.
Can promise will rarely go sky high.
Only thing he rarely does is blast poweshots. But he will net them all with controlled shot.

Frenkie if allowed to get forward would get good goals/assists he makes late runs into box well.
The last time he was doing it was under Koeman and got 15 goals/assists despite playing at CB and DM half that season.
At times wouldnt mind seeing him and Pedri switch if game needed it and Pedri sit/spray it from deep and FDJ allowed to get forward into box more and more freedom to get on ball and drive it.
Pedri could play back there with ease. Has the intelligence and range. Defensively holding may be an issue and he is atrocious in air also but on ball easily.
If you have Gavi at AM then that switch of Pedri/FDJ at times could work.
