With Pedri the only Barca player that couldnt handle the ball on that pitch.

Pedri better first half Frenkie better of two the second.

He made 11 tackles/intrception tonight. More than double anyone else. Almost x3 as many.

Was far and away the most composed Barca player on the ball and controlling the fucking thing.

After the game, De Jong criticized what he saw as a lack of professionalism. "First they said there was no VAR. Then they said there was only VAR for offside. Then they said there was nothing. Suddenly it was said that everything would work. Then it was said again that nothing would work. I don't know... That doesn't correspond to a serious league," the Dutch midfield strategist made clear.

Whether the contact against Lamine Yamal in the penalty area was enough to decide on a penalty kick, he was unable to assess. De Jong: "To be honest, I don't know whether it was a penalty or not. I heard something, but it's annoying when the VAR doesn't work. It works and five minutes later it doesn't work anymore."

The best part of the match was that Rayo had a camera directly in line from the corner flag through the goal.

I seriously imagine that after the goal line goal debacles, that Thebes ordered the clubs to install cameras inline with the goal line, along with supplying some basic trigonometry calculations to the VAR room, rather than invest in actual goal line technology.

That will solve the mess he thought.

"But what if there's a player blocking the camera" an intern replied.

After a long pause Thebes had an answer.

"Fuck Barcelona".

I liked Frenkie's attitude yesterday. He was not afraid to play tough Vs these *****. I think he rose to a next level this night, in terms of physicality. He wouldn't be bullied. Many others were intimidated from Barca.

Also not intimidated by the pitch.

He and to lesser extent Pedri looked like only two outfield players who wanted to get on ball and not treat it like a bomb about to go off.

Frenkie and J Garcia were the clear best x2 players.

Frenkie made more tackles/interceptions than Pedri, Olmo, Fermin, Raphinha, Rashford, Ferran and Lewa combined and three times as many as any other player in team.

Made the most forward passes, most passes into final third, highest pass % of any player bar Christensen from CB, while having a quarter of the disposession and poor touches Pedri had etc.
