As soon as he plays a bad 45 minutes or so, he gets hooked. The standards for him seem far higher than a lot of other players in the team.

He has done enough to deserve a run in the side. Pick out 3 games and tell him he will play the full 90 in all 3, regardless. Let's see what he can do if you put that confidence in him.

These intermittent minutes he is getting here and there are no good to anybody.

Expectations definitely risen. No goal or assist and it's deemed insufficient.

Offensively, I prefer Fermin over Gavi, hands down. So far, any way!

Also prefer him over Olmo. Not because he is better, but because he’s the underdog. He fights and succeeds at one of the biggest clubs in the world… continuously proving his doubters wrong. Only Torres is as underrated and he scored 19 goals last season (I believe).

I had the impression Flick made rotations to experiment with the outcome no longer in question. Truth is that while it seemed Dani had more touches than Fermin in 2nd half he was not very sharp himself - should've had a goal

I like the rotations, we'll need it over the course of the long season

Tuned in at 1-0 and the first things I noticed were Araujo's unnecessary fouls and Fermin failing to track back.

Watch his jogging pace here. Frenkie and Pedri both overtake him in the track back and Pedri ends up saving us. These things matter.

Here he gets beat while pressing, then gives up instead of catching up with his man, who is then able to start an attack against us. This is 15 minutes into the first game of the season. Come one.

This why he didn't play?

Breaking: Barcelona have received a €50m offer for Fermín López and value it positively. It would solve all FFP problems at once. @sport

Chelsea dont have many tens really.

Palmer has played there this year but looks better so far out wide.

Joao Pedro played there last week and Enzo has at times also.

Invaluable to me. One of the only 3-4 clutch players in the team. 50M would be a spit in the face. He has no price tag, and if he did it would be way above 100M in this market.
