Fermin has these games where you think he can be a 20+ goals a season player. He gives you hope of becoming a Spanish Lampard.

He reminds me of Pedro status wise, obviously different positions, but has great shooting with both feet and hard working. Not a special player on his own but around good players he gets elevated and can bring something extra to the team.

I look forward to seeing him develop, that is if this isn't his ceiling. He still lacks some stuff to be a set starter for us today. He'll do more than fine in most games but it might not be enough in biggest games.

I don't know, like someone mentioned before, he keeps proving us wrong again and again. He was definitely difference maker in the Olympic win. The best player in my eyes or the most crucial. Never underestimate him because so far he just proves you wrong.

He could be a difference maker. For sure.

Flick further on Fermín. : “To be honest, during preseason I wasn’t so pleased, but over the past two weeks he has improved significantly. On Sunday against Como, he showed just how good he is and how much energy he brings. It was great to see.”

I think he wants to be a starter, next summer we'll have some tough choices to Make
Yes, it'll be the last season where Olmo, Gavi and Fermin will agree to fight for one spot I think. Barca can cash-in for one of them a good amount if Flick makes another successful season and gives them all an important role.

I Can't see Gavi ever leaving this club, TBH, but if he regains his form and Flick stays and sticks to this 4-2-3-1, he's not going to beat out Pedri for the CM role, so he may want to leave in two years, but definitely not next summer.

Fermin, I can see asking to leave. You just look in his eyes the last 12 months and you know he wants more than he's getting right now as it relates to minutes, and with the Gavi falling out situation, that combination might be enough to push him over the edge.

Olmo, after coming back home, in a perfect world, he'll stay for 4-5 years, but he has to stay fit.

Of the three, for me, Fermin is most likely to leave.

And in two years, we'll have a conversation about Gavi, Casado, Bernal, and De Jong.

This De Jong renewal, while I'm okay with it now, if Bernal turns out as good as we hope, he'll bench De Jong, then we'll have a 30-year-old high earner sitting on the bench.

Bernal with Casado as his backup would be the ideal situation in two years, but I understand the De Jong renewal now under the circumstances.

That's not even taking into consideration all the kids knocking at the door in midfield.

The reality is this. Fermín’s girlfriend is actually a footballer hunter. Back in the day she tried to hook up with Sevilla B players, but they all rejected her. Then she caught Fermín, took him under tight control, really messed with his head, and now he doesn’t even listen to his family (who are against it). On top of that, he fell out with his buddy Gavi, who more than once told him, “calm your girlfriend down,” but was just sent to hell in response.
This girlfriend behaves very badly online, insulting everyone. Apparently, she strongly offended Gavi’s girlfriend over her looks, and that’s where all the drama started.

Fermin was kinda dog water today. See thing with him is he scores or he kind of does nothing else offensively. He has a great shot. Ok at passing. Good energy player.

Weird that neither Olmo nor Fermin can make that starter position their own.
Olmo is more of a traditional Barca player but is weak and injured alot.
Fermin always threatens to explode but under delivers on many occasions.
Frustrating.

As soon as he plays a bad 45 minutes or so, he gets hooked. The standards for him seem far higher than a lot of other players in the team.

He has done enough to deserve a run in the side. Pick out 3 games and tell him he will play the full 90 in all 3, regardless. Let's see what he can do if you put that confidence in him.

These intermittent minutes he is getting here and there are no good to anybody.

That's because his position is the most competitive one in the entire squad. Olmo, Gavi and even Rapha/Torres can play there as well. If you have 2 players waiting on the bench on your position, you simply cannot have bad 45 minutes.

Sounds to me like Fermin never had a gf before. Everything for first time is big learning experience. The heartbreak will be tough. Best to happen sooner than later for his career.

Deserves much better.
