Maybe a little, it's not looking good though. Seems he has no connection or understanding with his teammates.
I am half-joking, I know it is far too early and I didn't even watch the game.

But so far from what guys on here say, it seems consistent with his career at United with having one good game and 10 bad ones.

He needs a chance. But I fear the worst. BUT he could prove me wrong.

Portuguese league tax is a thing though.

How you find the Gyok so far for Arsenal btw?
True, but still think he's good enough for a club like Burnley.

I never rated that Gyokeres fella much but gonna give him time. Still he doesn't look good at all to me. Looks a big ogre like Haaland. I am sure he will score goals, though. But I wouldn't be expecting silky link up play if I was Arsenal. It doesn't seem like Arteta is interested in progressive football anyway, though.

Good post. Found Arsenal better today from what I saw btw.

Maybe it's growing pains with the new signings but Liverpool don't look as good as start last season.

While Arsenal squad looks fantastic, and then I checked the result as switched off early and it seems typical arsenal things happened.

Thanks.

I watched the game and found it dull as dishwater. Arsenal are extremely good defensively, but they didn't offer really much in the way of creative football. Liverpool were the same. It had goalless draw written all over it before the wonderful free kick from big Dom.

But that's the point, isn't it? Arsenal will generally play basic football under Arteta, not because they don't have players to play otherwise, but because he seems to actively be coaching it and encouraging it. Strangely I think that will suit Gyok so he will be a success individually in the way of goal tally. Arteta will rely on set pieces and strong powerful players like Gyok and the CBs to bully other sides. Any creativity will come from Eze, Odegaard or Saka I would expect, maybe Rice and Zubimendi to a lesser extent too.

I do rate plenty of their players. My problem with Arsenal (and Birdy doesn't like when I say this) is they are bottlers or always let you down when it counts. It's more of a mentality issue and style of play issue with them, rather than one of not having quality footballers.

In saying all this, there's no real amazing teams in the PL (this Liverpool is the best and for me they're inferior hugely to Klopp's best sides an Pep's best Man City sides) so Arsenal do have a chance of winning it.

Anyway this is the Rashy thread and Arsenal have nothing to do with him, so we can continue discussing if you like in their thread? Though I am going offline in a moment.
