14 - Marcus Rashford

Yeah, penalty clause is probably bullshit. News about that appeared only after United camp was getting criticized because of the big possibility of Rashford coming back to them in the summer.

Which he will btw...

If Rashford makes a difference off the bench and when called upon could see Barca wanting to keep him on but at less than the agreed fee.

Would need to cut his salary though.

Its 19M.

14 million gross salary
5 million penalty if we dont buy him

Thats still about 365K every week, which is ludicrous when we cant even register our players
The 5 mil was fake news. Widely reported as such after a couple of days. And since then, no one has refuted it, so more likely its true.

14m is his salary.

So in total, about 288k per week. Would say he is max a 200k player, but no where near 400k, you were saying.

He was alright, he will be even better against teams that don't park the buss and on a fucking rice field...

First 10 minutes were promising while he was the most active player in attack. However, after that he wasn't involved much anymore.
Not really a game to judge as all of the players had issues while trying to dribble past players on that overwatered ground.

All in all lots of premature depreciating of our own players as always when season just started.

The fact that he was sub off is disappointing even more bcz we started scoring goals when he was sub off.

I don't think he will be good against team that park the bus, but we will see. Hansi can do magic, so peharps also with rashford.

I think he will be good and deadly in counter attack games when there is space in defense or against big teams who gives space ( or when we are leading on the scorlines and the opposite team needs to score) .

Think he showed some good moves in first 20 or so minutes against Levante. Took on defenders with success.

He'll have to be patient and not get disheartened.
And provided that he works hard I think there is chance for him to be useful for Barca this season.

Anyone kept an eye on Malick Fofana. Strong start to season.

Seems Arsenal (coz fuck yeah) and Everton are readying late bids.

He has looked a bit polite and sensible, a bit hesitant to really throw himself into the fight.

Goes for the dribble, then has to balance it out by passing it backwards the next two times.

Against a low block, he will have these adaptation issues - I still believe it was a shrewd experiment by Flick to line up like that vs Levante. And unlike most here, I thought he actually played well - the hook was normal as the tactics were tweaked to chase the result...and it worked

It'll depend on the opponent and tactics but there's a place for him and indeed it is also to be expected he doesn't push to make an immediate splash. There was one moment when the easy approach would've been the return pass in the final third towards a midfielder but instead he broke into the box. I liked it from him and he won a corner even if he failed to create an immediate scoring opportunity - I keep reading comments about his arrogance or laziness but feels like bitter ManYoo fans

I see a motivated worker who is eager to help the team
