1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

We are not getting rid of him until 2028 if we don't stand firm this winter window. We let him go for free and he can pick to go anywhere he wants but no loan. We should at least try with that.

I'm sure Deco will bend over and let MATS fuck him with a loan to Girona where we pay his entire salary. Mats gets to keep his salary and gets to play so he'll be at the WC but I still haven't heard what do we gain from it?

These next few weeks will be the only chance to get rid of him and I bet whatever that Deco and Laporta won't even try.

It is, what it is.

MATS claims he's going to fight for his place. Well, that's what I wanted to see since Claudio Bravo left the club and let Ter Stegen lose focus. Since 2015.

It’s all gamesmanship, Mats pulled this BS last summer and it blew up in his face. He wants to play and refuses to give up any of his wages to do so and trying to see if Barça blink by accepting a cutrate loan to Girona (via his PR spokesman Martinez) or insist on at least loan club picking up a minimum of 25% of his wages

Leverage is all with the club in a WC year, Mats can sit and be isolated (Particularly since he is the source of leaks) - I am convinced Hansi won’t permit him to remain in the team dynamics beyond January

Club is working much more quietly in the market, which I like, and player thinks he can force terms - but I think it will end like it did last summer, with him having to take his lumps

Girona are close to signing Ter Stegen on loan after reaching a full agreement with the goalkeeper. The final details are now being discussed with Barcelona, and Girona are optimistic the deal will be completed next week. [@FabrizioRomano]

There are two scenarios:

1. Barca agree to everything (despite paying a big chunk of the salary) to be on good terms with MATS and make a gentlemen's agreement that he leaves in summer.

2. Barca reject any deal that isn't good for our finances. And tell MATS to fuck off without compromise.

The risk of #1 is that Mats is content with staying on the bench for a couple of years after the loan and playing WC26. That's why we need to make an agreement that he definitely leaves in summer in order for us to make this "bad" deal. Same with #2, that it can have a reverse effect that he stays out of spite.
