Yeah, I fear that as well. He can say fuck it after the WC, I will enjoy the last years of easy life in Barcelona. Barca's only pressure on him is the WC currently.
There wont be such an agreement. Mats wont leave in the sumer unless he finds a club who pays the same.
The best thing we can get now is girona paying his wages until summer.
We should not pay a single euro, and say this to mats, if he doesnt agree-sit on the bench

Big mystery how he made it this long at Barca without being a Catalan. Messi of all people hated him. The guy basically admits it himself:

Messi was on astronomical wages. 138m euros per season with a total contract valued at 555m euros. This while we were broke as fuck and strapped down because of Spanish FFP regulations.
But yeah… Mats shouldn’t be here but his wages are incomparable to what Messi was earning. That’s not on Laporta but merely the reality of the situation.

Girona will only cover €1M of Ter Stegen's salary (10%). The rest 90% will be covered by Barça. [@mundodeportivo]

It’s not about whether it was deserved or not. We couldn’t afford to keep paying his astronomical wages. Simple as that.
