Did De Jong, or any other player, ever deny accusations when the club used the media against him/them?

Since we know that the club resorts to using media against players, it would be interesting to see how other players have reacted in the past.

Everyone leaks to the press with an agenda in mind. Players, agents, clubs. It's a tool.

TS needs to accept reality and move on. Laporta and board maybe could use some more tact and class. End of the day the club's image takes a hit with all this soap opera BS.

I don't get what alternative explanation is there?

Ter Stegen did not deny signing off to presenting the medical reports? It's fake news?

The only ridiculous thing would be if it is true in fact that he will be back in less than 4 months, but in that case, there would be no secrecy?

How the fuck there is no balance? Most in here are pilling on Stegen every day.
Because annoyance with him for several reasons has accumulated throughout all these years. His current demarche is just the last straw. He wouldn't get as much flack, if he was more self aware and acted like professional, but his petulant spitefulness and entitled demeanour, despite being mediocre keeper, makes him especially irritating. He ain't a legend, just one of the many players that has played for Barca, but acts like deprecated war hero.

They probably mean the club should keep those things internally. And deal with the player first.

But they don't know this wasn't done already and it failed.

He did btw. I remember him calling out the press that they are lying.

Of course. But then, I don't understand the "lies" Laporta is feeding to the journalists part.

Such report hurt him, if he indeed sees himself being able to return before 4 months.
The club won't allow it to happen, as per La Liga rule, they will get a hefty fine (3 times the amount the registered player through exception, so 240% of half of his salary).

There is also a question of trust, especially with the smear campaign ran against him, with the likes of Polo accusing him of skipping training because he is mad at the club, while he was injured. Then trust to the medical team, as he had to repeat almost every operation he had under the supervision of the club.

Right! But the club should be more careful about spreading news to the media about players it wants to get rid of but who don’t want to leave (mostly due to high salary).

The last thing the club would want is a player on sky-high wages creating a bad vibe in the dressing room or calling out the club hierarchy in public. I could def see a big personality doing this (not that FDJ has a strong personality).

This. Stegen is a prick no doubt but when the club is constantly embroiled in crisis and spats it affects the dressing room, fans, possibly sponsors etc. It's not a good look for club's mes que un club image. Maybe im reading to much into it but that's just my opinion honestly. This should be dealt with internally as much as possible.

There are penalties for that. Stegen fecked up repeatedly. He is no saint.

If it was a player who didn't act up in a bad way towards the manager... then yes, club should be fair and play nice when looking for a way out.

Not saying the club doesn't sometimes put pressure by using partisan media vs players who don't deserve this tactic, but this time, Stegen looked for trouble, and he found it.

Only bias is yours to accept every shit from Laporta and pep. Stuck in 2008 and some fairy tale.

I am no fan of Stegen, as can be seen in this thread. Supported Bravo too a decade ago.
Proof is in the pudding señor, I have been critical of Laporta while I have never seen you praise him - you see what you want to
