People are blinded by their biases to discern fact from fiction and tailor the narrative to suit their agenda

It’s unprecedented what Mats has been doing, nevermind from a Captain of this club
It's unprecedented, but that doesn't make it wrong or imoral. Just as the club is acting in its own interest every time.

I mean should we feel sorry for Mats? You can hate Laporta but you also have to realize this was a long time coming.

He's been a troublesome character for a long time now. Never took responsibility for anything and the way he uses the Media to try and get his way behind the scenes.

I think the final straw was him deciding for himself that he's going to start in goal before he even was fit towards the end of last season unsettling tek.

Also not bothering to show his face to the fans and supporting the team in a crucial knockout stage CL match.

This guy is a complete insult to the Captains armband. He cares only about his own interests and he's willing to unsettle the team because of it.

Nothing to be sorry for him about. We made mistakes by not getting rid of him after Anfield. The case with some other players who shamed the club beyond belief as well.

How this guy survived a 2-12 vs Bayern and Liverpool was unacceptable for a club of our level.

Any club managed at least at a decent level bins him instead of extending him.

Only bias is yours to accept every shit from Laporta and pep. Stuck in 2008 and some fairy tale.

I am no fan of Stegen, as can be seen in this thread. Supported Bravo too a decade ago.

Ter Stegen maintains his desire to return as captain and estimates he will be back in a period of 2-3 months. @santiovalle

Yeah I don't know about that chief.

There are levels to this story.
Everyone accepting what Laporta says, or worse, what Catalan press writes, is a naive person unable to see beyond black and white.

Yeah I don't know about that chief.

TS comes across as deluded and bitter. Also still feel club could have just told him privately (maybe they did) he's not in plans going forward and look for a new club while not leaking stuff to avoid a drawn out saga in the media.

Did Stegen even deny the leaked stuff with his shenanigans at the end of last season?

Of course the club is gonna do everything possible to ship him out. Including leaking stuff to the press.

I don't mind that as long as they don't lie and invent things that did not happen.

Did De Jong, or any other player, ever deny accusations when the club used the media against him/them?

Since we know that the club resorts to using media against players, it would be interesting to see how other players have reacted in the past.

I think the club would rather put someone from the Juvenil squad before him in goal.

Can't remeber the last time a player destroyed his legacy like he has done.
