Yeah I was thinking how it would be more embarrassing for him to train with the first team knowing he will never play. A true third GK.HIs own opinion about his fitness has as much weight as his own statement about his injury time. Obviously he can go to a neutral fitness coach and get some sort of confirmation about his fitness, that he takes to court, but such things take time, don't feel good, make him even more alien with the club.
Do you really think he wants to train every day, face the journalists every day after all this shitshow? I see him dragging his injury until winter and then try to leave. I still don't see him sitting 3 years in the stands, living in Barcelona facing daily fans on the streets insulting him and ending his career with 33. Right now he might feel angry, but this feeling will pass as well.
I still trust his senses, his family clear his mind that it's not worth to end his career over this, especially because it'll be soon over anyways.
If he feels well and wants to train he will tell the trainers that he's ready to train. If he can do the stuff he's supposed to do, how can club justify sending him to the gym? If he can't (this is where a normal player would say he feels pain), then trainers will come up with an individual plan. And repeat.
His own opinions matters a lot when he is back in training, as does with any player who has been injured. Doctors can't know how a player feels. They can create a clear plan for recovery with different steps but in the end it's the player who has to feel good enough to advance to next step. If it doesn't work like that the doctors either will unnecessarily hold back/prolong the player's recovery or pressure into a relapse.
