1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Because Barca doesn't depend on this rule to register him, already mentioned a few times. It's just the most easy and direct way that opened up.

There won't be any competition for him, Flick made that clear in a personal talk with him. Confirmed by all tier 1 journalists. He will be the third goalkeeper in this season, no matter what happens.
Can they just register the players then, without all this drama

Tier one are all Barca players that came out and spoke positively about Ter Stegen. Everything else are rumours.

Bet is on Laporta and his board using Catalan press yet again to do the dirty work.

I am not Ter Stegen fan but will wait and see further developments.

The club still waits for LaLiga's report about their current rule and generated ffp margin. Based on that, if we're in the 1:1 rule or not, there will be priority registrations or all of them at once. Before that, no registrations will happen.

Tier 1 as in Laporta's pocket?
Javi Miguel reported this as well, who is very good connected with the MAtS camp. He covered for example his surgery and timeline to return among other things, while ter Stegen refused anyone from the club to accompany him, so these informations couldn't have been leaked from other sources than ter Stegen himself. There is absolutely zero doubt, that Flick told him personally he will be the third goalkeeper this season. Hence his behaviour now.

And there is another evidence. The extension of Tek. Barca would have let him go, if they would have planned with Garcia and MAtS. There is no reason to have a third strong GK around. Traditionally Barca only keeps a La-Masia talent as a third GK.

Catalan journalists didn't write that statement and reject allowing sending documents to LL. Those two things are not rumors but facts.

‼️BREAKING: The Spanish Players' Association contacted Ter Stegen and reassured him that Barcelona do not have a legal basis to penalize him.

Mate, it's obvious they want rid of him. I was just laughing at the so called tier 1 journalists. Those guys are leeches that run a smear campaign at the behest of the club.

Sure, the club uses them to run a campaign whenever it suits them. But aside from that, there is still a credibility difference between some of them.

But the official communique says that MAtS underwent the surgery under the supervision of the club's medical services. So they didn't accompany him but joined him later anyway?

When assessing his career as a whole, he's been at Barca for 11 seasons, but really played 10 seasons. In this period, he's had 1 decent CL season, 2 great and 1 outstanding LL seasons. So that's 4/10, slightly below average.

His peak was under EV (2017-2019) where his stocks were the highest (90m€), but after the 8-2 thrashing, it fell to 75m €, this would have been the right time to move him on. How he survived that humiliation, I will never know.

You would think there would be at least a couple clubs willing to table an offer for him with all the uncertainty. The fact that no one has come forward so far is a concern.

Not sure why the club would want to punish him.

Just leave him on the bench and let him rot his career away.

I can guarantee you that while he might be somewhat vindictive he is also way too arrogant and prideful to rot on the stands for the rest of his contract.

He is 100% going to make a push for a move in January and if he pisses off the club they probably wouldn’t want it to make it easy for him either.
